Clark and lois liked each other before they started working at the daily planet. Smallville felt like two different shows. Before the daily planet and after. The only time they mentioned knowing each other before working at the daily planet was the homecoming episode.

In this scene Lois is telling Clark aka The Red Blue Blur her deep dark secret. If only she knew that he was the blur. Love this scene!!!!!!!

She said she never had this connection before, she means the Blur. But then suddenly, by the end of this episode, she feels that exact same connection with Clark, which confuses the shit out of her. She struggles this entire season because she is literally torn between 2 men who she has equal feelings for, never realizing till the end that they are the same guy. The way she looked at Clark at the end of this episode was kind of like she was shocked that somehow Clark was as important to her as the Blur

Shouldn't Clark have been important to her before the Blur even came along?

@Michael-rp5pv so Lois cared about Clark, even by this point, but it's the first time she saw him as a protector who could take charge. She saw even Oliver back down from him and your could see that shocked her. I think Lois had feelings for Clark no doubt, but his need to keep her safe was a new one for her. She even says at the end, I've seen a new side of you.

@@ryanabate1981 excuse me did you even watch the show Clark saved her life several times since she first came on the show way before the Blur even became a thing on the show. That proved Clark was her protector long before the Blur. He saved her from drowning, he saved her from being sent over seas in a sex ring and more times than I can count on here. What else did the guy have to do.

@@ryanabate1981 I wasn't being confrontational just the way it was. She should have been able to say the things to Clark that she said to the Blur if they were going to be in an actual relationship.

Why would lois have feelings for the Blur she didnt even know him he was just a voice on the phone. And she said she never had a connection with anyone before. She had a connection with Clark for 5 seasons. To me that just proved lois loved the Blur more than clark and clark wanted her to love clark and that proved she didnt.
