Since marlon Brando passed away way before smallville started, I would’ve preferred Anthony Hopkins over Terrence stamp to voice jor el for smallville since he would’ve been the closest voice that resembled marlon.

Though to me it works with Terrence Stamp because of the way Jor-El was constantly seen as a potential threat. Having Zod as the voice of Jor-El helped reinforce that and kept you wondering
