Two legendary actors they portrayed Clark and Lex like no other there has never been a betrayal of these two characters on the big screen or the small screen the way they got these characters right from the beginning to the end they embody these characters before they even had superhero shows or movies this was the best damn television on TV and it still holds up today some of the best Superman stories in a long time DC could really learn something from the show but they don't care about the fans or the tremendous story writing that this show was 10 years is a long time for a show when most shows get cancelled after one season just saying Smallville had something special

To this day I genuinely believe that if Clark disregarded his father's extremely harsh and semi hypocritical Judgment; gave lex benefit of the doubt and told him his secret right then and there when he came to him about his suspicions I'm pretty sure that Lex would have went down an entirely different path where they both would have became greatest allies instead of mortal enemies, sure there would have been up and down moments between the two where Lex's curiosity and thirst for knowledge would test Clark's patients but in the end they would have been able to come to terms with each other and been on the same destiny of changing the world for the better rather than vying for control over the fate of the world, it would have been extremely nice if we had gotten a what if Episode to show that being the case plus rewriting the finale where the alternate version of Lex being the classic villain we all know coming to there Earth and this version facing off against his doppelganger and even though tragically taking his sister tess mercer's place in losing his life being the one to wipe his memory of everything he learned of Clark's identity as Superman symbolizing his ultimate Victory against his inner Darkness as well as a parting gift to team Superman; solidifying his loyalty to his best friend and brother!

That's a good point, but I still believe that Lex would of turn out the same. Some people can't escape their destiny.

I know the show's writers did their best to give Clark & Lex some great interactions across the board for the whole series...but it was Tom & Michael's responsibility to make that believable, and I think they delivered it in spades. That's also why I think the last three seasons of the show suffered so much; after Michael left it felt the writers were always grasping at straws. Season 9 was great with Major Zod and the Kandorian clones, but Doomsday and Darkseid were both treated horribly. "Smallville" was at its best, when it focused on two brothers in arms, whose different ideals and commitments eventually drove them apart.

Just saw this, SO glad you were inspired to recut this and upload. The previous version was already perfection, but now this is even more powerful with the series being over, and you being able to use footage of both men in their iconic destinies. I love, love, love how you intercut at the end between Clark as Superman, Lex as evil President, and Clark and Lex hugging in one of their most heartbreaking moments of friendship in the series. Absolutely brilliant. And the words "bleed for me" as blood rains on Lex's white suit, gives the lyrics a more sinister context at the end. I also loved your use of irony with the "I promise I'm not a criminal mastermind" as we see the faded footage of Lex in 33.1. So much great stuff!

Matthew Rocca - Wow thanks for the awesome comment! Glad you found my channel. Also the details of what you liked is appreciated. The overlay with "criminal mastermind" and the end intercuts are my favorite parts too. Thx again!

This is xrayvision from Ksite btw ;) I replied to one of your comments in the Numb video about having some of your old videos that you lost saved that I can put on a file sharing service for you to download again when I find a good one. I'm looking for one that doesn't require setting up an account that is pretty safe, so if you have any ideas let me know and I'll PM you the url when it's up. The videos of yours I found saved on my pc were "I WIll Survive", "In Your Eyes", your old/original "Invincible", "Mysterious Times", your old/original "Numb" video, "Red-k trailer", and one just called "Trailer" with a song named Nara.

I really feel that if Clark had opened up to Lex in this series and told him the truth early on then I think we would have ended up with the alternate Christmas Lex instead of the evil sociopath he became
