This show is truly legendary. You can watch it over and over again, and feel good at the end of the day. You can’t beat that 2000’s tv show vibe, and you certainly can’t beat Smallville’s, well everything and anything.

@@saierwe What are you talking about? Some of the best tv shows out there are from 2000's
@thetalentof Жыл бұрын
@randywhite3947 Agreed, especially with shows like Smallville, Lost, 24, Breaking Bad, Deadwood, Alias, Band of Brothers, Prison Break. They all had that movie-level cinematic quality thanks to being shot on panavision super 35. The last shows to use this were True Dectective S1 and Euphoria S2. Today's shows generally look cheap and rushed by comparison with cheap VFX (look how good those practical explosions look in this Smallville trailer) and shot on digital where it just looks like actors doing cosplay and gives it that throwaway, uneventful look. The Sopranos until Boardwalk Empire was truly a great decade of quality TV with every show looking gorgeous and special.

Goddamn life goes so fast, it was like yesterday watching this as a small kid from bed in 10AM on my TV, every day at 10AM new episode. Back in 2002 or something like that, and here now i am 30 years old. I was so attached to this TV Show for whatever reason, it was my comfort. I never watched last 2 seasons, i am saving that to watch it all at once again.

I totally agree! The episodes are fresh and engaging. All the actors went above and beyond the scripts. At first, I wasn’t down with the Lois Lane character- but she ended up being the most ‘kick but’ at the end! Smallville Rocks!

My only "complaints" about this show is that the chemistry between Clark (Tom Welling) and Lana (Kristin Kreuk) was so good that you did not want their relationship to end, and they should have never "killed off" Lex Luthor. Michael Rosenbaum was the best Lex Luthor I have ever seen on screen.
@monroe81432 жыл бұрын
They didn’t kill of lex lmao it was heavily hinted at that he was still alive and behind the scenes. I disagree about the Clark and Lana- I think everyone knew when their relationship ran it’s course

I agree. Show should’ve deviated and had Clana be endgame but hint at the fact Clois would get together in the long run

The only problems with Smallville: 1. Way too much Lana and not enough Chloe and Lois. Lana's storyline should have ended after high school in season 5. 2. Unnecessary restrictions on the use of DC characters, especially teenage Bruce Wayne, Barry Allen, and Diana Prince 3. The show should have been paired with a Gotham-style show about teenage Bruce Wayne in a shared universe. 4. Metropolis should have been on the east coast and not in Kansas, which is logistically and geographically impossible. 5. The show relied too much on meteor freaks and kryptonite as plot devices and not enough on the DC mythology. 6. The show should have had Clark learn to fly a little earlier and shown him wearing the Superman suit at least once.

He’s his powers are getting stronger as he lives on earth. Getting nailed by the car just proved how far he was from humanity as Clark early and through out the entire series doesn’t really push or explore his powers. That’s why he struggled to fly for so long whereas Kara after minutes on earth could fly.

I never watched this show as a 51 year old but look much younger. I use to hear my brother and cousin talking about this show excitedly and even heard a 67 year old guy bring it up at work a few months ago mentioning that he's looking at old episodes. I wasn't interested in watching it because I thought it would be corny but after watching this trailer it looks so good. Where have I been. I have Hulu so I think I'll start binge watching season one Everyday before work. I work second shift. This reminds me of the mistake of not being interested in Game of Thrones but people kept bringing it up. So I finally started watching it just before the last season and wow again where have I been. That show was so good. Still haven't got around to Breaking Bad yet which I also heard was great. Oh yes almost forgot The Walking Dead I was like 5 or 6 seasons late on that classic tv show too and started watching because I kept seeing people talking about it on facebook when I use to be on facebook. I guess I'm late to the party most of the time. The Walking Dead and Game of Thrones are classics. Amazing. Let's see what Smallville offers now.
