i love this episode so much 🥺❤️ as a clois fan but more importantly as a lois fan. this was again one of the more rare episodes where we get to see lois’ vulnerability. a lot of people criticize lois for the way she was acting in this episode/leaving with her father..but in my opinion it wasn’t ooc at all. although she grew up to be a rebellious teenager, as a child lois was always used to being the “mother figure” of her home - especially with her mom not being there. from taking care of lucy relentlessly to being there for her father, she was always the glue that kept the family together in my eyes. no matter what stage in life, lois has always seeked validation from her father, and so when the two men she loved most were at a crossroads could you blame her for having a moment of weakness? lois isn’t perfect, and i think this episode shows that beautifully. while it might have seemed like her love for clark wavered, the moment at 14:14 proves otherwise. it broke her heart to tell her father that she is choosing clark because choosing her own happiness is something she rarely does - especially when it comes to her own fathers. anyways rant over i love lois so much she deserves the world 😔❤️🤚🏾

Okay I always thought Lois Lane on Smallville was a little much, but But she stands up to everybody like even criminals and aliens the whole time she's been on the show and knocks them down a peg, but when hard Lois was needed the most she vanished? I mean this was WAY out of character for her not to be the strong assertive type, I cant be the only one who thinks this, I mean comepare this to how she treats her dad to when they first showed her dad
