Lastimosamente, Smart dejó de ser una propuesta inteligente para combatir el tráfico en las calles, y pasó a convertirse en un coche más del montón. No hay nada de emocionante en su diseño, y seguramente compartirá piezas con alguna marca china, incluido el motor y la batería. Al igual que hicieron con la Clase A, destruyeron el SMart for two que ya era una tradición en diseño, practicidad y buen gusto. Que pena que echaron a perder el espíritu original de SMART.

It´s just chineses platform with "fancy" packaging to be sold for premium price . It´s not even in Smart segment , there will be more competition in this size of vehicles. Who would buy this ? I am tired of this "bussines practices" of repacking chinese crap and selling under European brands. If I want non European car there are other options and not rebranded Geely .

I personally Own a 2014 smart car and…. I love it! Been waiting for Smart to return to Mexico since 2018, #1 is absolutely gorgeous!

Former Smart car owner here... IMHO, Mercededs should have commited to redesigned the last car as a city electric, from the get go, not retrofit an electric system. Case in point, GM x Wuling Mini EV. Now playing catch up like VW ID!

@@MaticTheProto No it won't be. It has 4 seats. So you know, it's not a 'better' Smart car it's a completely unrelated product. I bought into Smart because I wanted a short 2 seater car. All I needed them to do, was take the same size, shape and basic design and remove all the petrol rubbish and give us a bit better range, fast charging etc.

Completely agree. I'm looking to the Chinese car companies in the hopes they'll bring their Smart inspired 2 seaters to the UK so I can get a serious electric car instead of a nonsense SUV.

@@jonevansauthor it’s a better smart forfour eq. There was an electric fortwo, but it couldn’t fit batteries big enough to make it a feasible car. Maybe they will find a clever way to do it in the future, but for now it’s just impossible

This is not a smart car, it's just any old naff SUV with the Smart badge on it. Sorry, but the philosophy here is awful.

Nearly 8 minutes or tired hackneyed phrases that we've heard before on every car design video ever released. Mohammad Hossein Aminiyekta did the Forwise concept, updating the old Smart Roadster's design and it looked amazing and despite being futuristic, still had much of the smart's design language. It was obviously a smart. However, the Smart #1 has none of the smart's design language. It just looks like a Vauxhall Adam with lifted suspension. There's nothing in the design that tells you that it's smart. Dark days for the long term smart fans, especially so if the fortwo looks like same. You can chase the pointless SUV market, that's fine, but how about making it actually look like a smart?

@@smart it's quite easy to do. Just chop out two seats, remove the pointless engine space at the front of the car for an electric car which doesn't need it... and then give us back our shortest, best, 2 seater car. You can do a 4 seat one as well if you like. Who cares about interior space you drivel on about in this video? Seriously? I had enough room for me, a passenger, and an entire shopping trolleys worth of groceries. Literally don't need more. That's why I wanted it. NOT because I really wanted a 4 seat car with more boot space, so I could pay to move around an enormous amount of extra weight, for passengers I don't have. Literally missed the entire point of a 2 seat vehicle...
