Smart Carb V Nibbi Dyno Run Honda Cub

Dyno run of a SC2 26mm and Nibbi 26mm carb
This was a simple test to get both carbs up and running at peak performance
The smart carb has had a few issues out on the main roads with slide returning issues ,the team at smart carb are happy to resolve with dimpling of slide to reduce the vacuum hold on slide and a stronger spring , but it preformed well in a controlled environment at www.ooracing.com.
The smart carb was easy to dial in on the Dyno with a few clicks to lean it off , it showed a very stable reading on the dyno is exceptionally smooth and faultless , it is down on BHP output compared to the Nibbi and looks to have a smaller bore size in its oval design compared to Nibbi .
The Nibbi took a bit more effort to dial in as the carb needed pulling apart to richen mid range .
Nibbi make a good looking carb that has an exceptional finish and need minimal dialling in .
Easy access to idle and pilot screw are a thumbs up .

I use a small nibbi on my 80 pitbike. Id get an SC on a YCF190 though

Nice work, you all. I just bought a Nibbi PE28 to put on the Chinese Apollo 250 enduro. I'm above 4000' altitude. Should I go with the stock jet the Nibbi came with, or use one of the three additional jets provided with this beautiful carb? (The cheap PZ30 that came with the bike ran lean and could not be adjusted enough to make a difference. Also, the air intake on the Nibbi is slightly bigger than the PZ30.)

Try the standard settings and work from that , just remember the nibbi mixture screw runs richer when screwed in 👌

I am very very tempted to pop a chunkier engine in mine. 140cc semi auto from oo racing is most likely.

Tried them all 🤣 favourite is the Manual yx140 short stroke running the nibbi 26mm carb , I do have a semi auto 140 electric start to try one day 🤣 the 150 in this vid has the oil sight glass and an external oil filter that I really like 👍

Hey mate had you used ethanol on your bike? Curious if you had any luck running it I used e85 on a 110 pitbike Worked fairly well not sure if it gained power smelt great though 😂

So Smartcarb performance guarantee of 8-10%, in reality 10% less, 11pcs Nibbi for the price of one SC 🤣 Have dyno several yx150/160cc/ Lifan 150cc all have been around 12hp whp, sounds a lot with 20.8bhp, but I think I'll try a Nibbi too, at that price worth a try :)

Well smart carbs are often made for dirtbikes where the bike face conditions of supreme incline, decline as well as banking angle. Nibbi on the otherhand is meant for performance/economy and in this video I think the SC carb is somewhat oversize for the type of engine while nibbi 26mm is just right
