He had anticipated Baku's strategy involving the extra second and, to prevent Baku from suspecting anything, Kiruma deliberately erased his own memory to ensure the success of the plan. The essence of Kiruma's strategy was to survive that extra second. If the timer had counted exactly 5 minutes, he would have died. However, it only reached 4 minutes and 57 seconds, which Kiruma knew would give him just enough time to survive if he was revived by a blow. But the plan failed because the strike wasn't strong enough, and as a result, he couldn't be revived because of Yakou and his insufficiently strong blow to the hearts. The manga later revealed what would have happened if Kiruma's plan had succeeded and yakou hadn’t made that critical mistake. This makes scalling of Kiruma Souichi a much higher imo, and he's take the victory🥇

@@TheTyper98 Lalo victimizes almost everyone in RLS (with influence and from scratch). His leadership and team-based matchups are off the charts. He victimizes Akiyama and CGEW with Tokuchi imo. He does not have enough juicy feats for him to be top tier but he is really close to Baku and Hal. The only reason I put Lalo's diff in STL as v. high is b/c it doesn't play to his strengths as much. Leadership is his main strength. He's also adaptable af. Overall for Usogui's top tiers: 1. Baku 2. Hal (gets extreme (+) diffed by Baku) 3. Lalo (gets v. high (+) diffed by Hal) 4. Suteguma & Fukurou (gets mid (-) diffed by Lalo) 5. Kaji (gets insane (-) diffed by Suteguma) Narratively, Gonen takes the cake.

People forget the amount of advantages Hal has going into STL. His knowledge of the leap second, echolocation, stronger body, ability to make better bluffs by erasing his own memory, knowledge of the referee yakous personality ... That said, no hax fang yuan takes very low diff (with hax neg diff). Peak edit btw.

And the memory loss I am refering to is Hal's ability to lose his own memory on purpose(which he used to forget the leap second and make it more difficult for baku to read him), not his monthly involuntary one.

@@plzcme434 They both had their own pros and cons but i agree hal has more advantage mayb. Personally, info is the most important here. Hal has too much info over baku. Knowledge of leap second ( He still has to confirm it himself without baku being suspicious but still a pros), Hax including better body, perfect control over his body and brains ( able to understand his body can take 4min 58 at max and able to remove his memory by will while can still act subconsciously) and echolocation. Also more understand about baku than baku understand hal. Baku pros is only planning and hal's memory lost. But in outsmarting debate, hal's memory lost is kinda useless because baku never strategic to make hal lose his memory because obviously he didnt know if he will for sure lose his memory or not yet. So baku can not strategic to make hal lose his memory or else baku would have make hal died at round 6 or 7. Also baku has much weaker body and a death heart.
