In addition to JinJing's reply, they were originally meant to be a doll that is also a Smart device, connecting with your other smart devices so you could move them remotely with your phone/Alexa/whatever. Though hardly the best comparison, they would be kind of like Angels from the story Angelic Layer, small gorgeous robots you can control (but without the fighting aspect). However, that didn't pan out (I don't recall if it was just too difficult/expensive/whatever), and instead they changed the focus from the Smart in the title to full-on about the Doll, and making the amazing product they are now known to be, but kept the name because it's a great name.

The dolls are 1/3 scale. They are 24 inches (2ft.) Tall.

They are tall, it's amazing! When you see the videos of their store, you can see ones that look as big as a small child and I would LOVE to get one of those (in Interstellar Blue if possible)! Such amazing detail! I don't think they've ever been available to the public though.
