Awesome video! This taught me a lot about Fisher & Paykel history. Would a GW708 motor controller board work for a GW608 washing machine?

Yes it would, you would just need to size set so it knows it in a larger machine

Hi I have a WA8060G1. Does that mean according to your notes on the board it's from 2012 onwards and phase 10 series 13? I'm lost after 2011 as to how to work out the year of manufacture number. Great video by the way 😁

Hi You wrote that the WA models Series 9 started from approx 2011 How many years were they produced and what year did they next change again ( losing the letters in the model number) ? Thanks

I think I mean Phase 9 I can’t remember series 13?

Yeah series and phase numbers start getting confusing. There were only small changes up until late last year when they released the current model in late 2023, not sure what they are calling it. Redesigned look externally, Using a gearbox as well as direct drive motor, controller in the base, etc.

@@motrepairs Thanks I just used what I learnt from your very informative video when checking out a potential 2nd hand WA75T65GW1 machine to buy and worked out it needed new balance rods…so still looking !
