Mike after a piece of electrical tape I puts a bit of hot glue on it and while it’s cooling I mold around the wires and you got a water tight connection and a bit of protection nothing worse brother it’s the little things that drive you crazy. Keep the track on the ground brother. 👍👍👍🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦💪💪💪

Mike, I have a 23 gade with SS and my light was coming on, suspension fault and then stuck on full STIFF. Not fun on bumpy trails. I pulled that same area apart and found a sliver of metal stuck to the magnet. I was thinking, ahh that’s it. But now I will have to check the wiring. Thanks for the video bud. Ride safe. Cheers.

Hi Mike, I’ve only been following your sled for a little bit but have you upgrade your rear spring? I had the same issue on my mach z because I had a two up on the sled the first time. Those stock springs aren’t big enough for us bigger dudes over 200 pounds. When there’s too much sag or you bottom out enough times it sets it off and needs to be replaced. I know your issue is more or so do to the wire but sag can also cause issues
@mikeguliz2 күн бұрын
@@HunterKrohn yes I changed my rear spring before I even wrote it. I don’t know which one it is but it’s the heaviest or biggest one BRP has and it works great and I’m like way over 300. The only time I bottomed out was when suspension not working due to the wire or otherwise works great all the time.👍

Hey Mike, next time disconnect the appropriate connector pin along with the wire and slide the shrink tube over the wire, a shrink tubing must remain uncut to do it's job, and shrink tubing will only shrink to a max of 50%.
@mikeguliz3 күн бұрын
@@DC-zp2iq I tried that wouldn’t fit over the connector. The other side had the same connector.
@DC-zp2iq3 күн бұрын
@@mikeguliz in the plastic connector there are metal pins, each pins crimped a wire, in your case it was a blue wire, you must disengage or unlock the metal pin it as a tiny tab that locks it in place then that blue wire can be removed from the connector.

Hey Mike , just go down to your local hardware store and get some aluminum rivets. Probably be a lot cheaper too.
@mikeguliz3 күн бұрын
@@kevinmalott9625 yeah for sure but ordered them now should be in tomorrow. Been thinking that two days.😂👍

@@mattie3595 I would assume so already been three people that I know with smart shocks same thing that wire just rubs when the suspension goes up and down. I hope BRP fixed it for the 25.

Just use small bolts so you can remove them in a year to check on it
@mikeguliz3 күн бұрын
Good idea I was thinking of that. I have a few bolts off the dirt bikes I could’ve put in that would’ve fit, but it just would’ve drove me nuts knowing that I didn’t put it back proper or factory like just the way I am. It’s OK I’ll just drill them out again. No big deal.

I have the same issue, I thought it was ice build up on rear shock and wiring. If I defrost and dry it out goes away. But now thinking I have the same issue, small wire cut. Thanks

My suspension was dragging the flap, then the light was coming on/off. Dealership fixed it. Haven’t rode it, so hopefully it’s fixed and is no longer sagging.

Problem I see is the sensor rubbing on the lever, that will leave metal shavings in between the sensor and lever. That is more likely your problem. The rivets are just 3/16 std rivets, I use aluminum ones, you can get them at many parts stores.

Geezus bye! You running original rear springs still? Guys like us need the big boy springs. Trust me, it will improve the ride quality. I replaced all this rivets with1/4 20 stainless bolts. The 2 rivets on the sensor you didn't remove can also be drilled out to take bolts, you need to make a thin nut for the 1 closest to the shaft as there is clearance issues. I rode mine about 1200 kms before I swapped out the springs. My back thanks me!!
