he's absolutely right. Most smart TVS in the 40K range use Mali G52 chip. That chip is from Q1 2018 ie. nearly 7 years old and trying to run the latest Andvoid software, making the experience very poor

Completly agree, dont know why tvs dont use the hardware used on Chromecast of their tvs, if this device is sold for 4500 rupees those hardware will be costing actully only like 1000 rupees, why dont tv companies give this hardware and charge like 2000 rupees extra.

I have used both chrome cast with non smart TV and currently using Sony smart TV . I never faced anything you mentioned about lag, crash and software updater. Sony apple share and android share is awesome and seamless. Another advantage is Alexa integration. Sony provides OTA updates. I feel your experiences are mainly due to the TV (hardware)you bought and used.

I am having almost all ott apps like Netflix, Prime Video, zee5, SonyLiv, Mx Player, Thrid party app for watching free movies, ott navigator, KZbin, Smartube, Jiocinema...... & more. No lag yet. Sometimes feels lag with firetv stick but not at all with VU Tv. Once boot then wait for 10-15 seconds over home screen then no lag

Is baat se to mai bhi agree karta hun software bohot hi laggy hota hai chahe kitni mehengi TV kyun na lelo. Maine Samsung S95C 65inch liya tha picchle saal 2.5lakh(Approx) ka . Display 1 no. Hai par software raddi hai bohot. Bas mai is liye koi bhi external smart Tv device use nhi kar rha kyunki mere paas mobile bhi Samsung S23 ultra hai aur connectivity TV se bohot hi achchhi hai. Cast karne me koi problem nahi hota aur na hi video/audio loss hita hai kyunki mai 80gb ki movie cast karta hun aur mujhe quality 1 no. Milta hai video and audio ki.

After waiting for Mi Smart TVs to launch for too long I had bought 4K VU Smart TV in 2016, forget 4K the SOC inside the TV didn't even play full HD YT videos. Then I bought fireTV stick which played full HD, then its remote conked. Remote costed almost as much as some new smart TV players, so I withheld buying it. Later I bought Motorola Smart TV device, which was kinda OK OK. I had google home assistant, for better integration I finally bought this google Chromecast player. I couldn't be more happier. I don't consume dish TV. For me everything is online/OTT. With google home assistant and this device I can turn on the TV with voice command. Only thing I feel lacking is content inside app is not playable from google assistant. Eg: Google assistant can't play live cricket inside the hotstar app from voice command.

Among all the reviews of devices like this. I should highly recommend that you make reviews of the airtel xstream box, jio box, tata play and google chromecast and compare them subsequently. I am sure it will help a lot of Indians out there to make their decision. Obviously tata play, jio box and xtream box and wifi based smart tv boxes and google chrome cast is a separate thing. But the xstream box seems to be coming close to the chromecast in both UI experience and features and ease of doing things as well. Given that the xstream box has integrated its classic dth service with the xstream box to it turns out to be better than chromecast and a comparison styled the way you did review this would help alot.

I used Mi 4x 4k tv, UI was smooth. I didn't have any issue. Unluckily, because of an accident, display has issue and stop working. I still think of buying mi TV again. Bdw, 1.25 or 1.5x speed is better for your video.
