Yes if you can find a good board for it that doesn’t have iCloud lock. Hopefully out of a good used phone. Try to get the original Touch ID home button with it too

Stupid question maybe..my SE fell face down but still had light behind the cracked screen and it was beeping and all..just had a black screen that is no longer responsive. Instead of changing the screen, thinking it was cracked before and still wirked, I did a hard reset pressing the home button and off button ..it never came bsck on again. Took it to change screen, tried two sjops, and it won't switch on still.. It is recognized when I plug it to itunes and go DFU but it says it's in recovery mode. I'm not on the latest itunes but don't want to restore as that'll erase everything ..as it's not backed up. I think it's a hardware issue If I buy a functioning SE ..any GB size..can I put my logic board in the new chassis without losing any data ? Thank you !

Nice! short and straight and clear! I have an SE where the Power button is stuck. The top button. I have another SE that I want to use its body because the Power button is working perfectly. Do you think transfer the whole mobo to this new SE or I can transfer only that Power button to my SE? If I transfer everything to the new SE, I must also not forget to transfer the home button for the touch ID. The thing is that my SE is black and the new one is white, I think I still can use the black home button but I have to transfer also the ring i guess? If you have time, just tell me what do you think? By the way the new SE has a working screen but I think internally it's not working. Probably water damage. I have already tried to transfer the white screen to my black SE, Home button was working but of course not the touch ID. Thank you very much

Hi there yes I would say it might be easier to transfer the motherboard in the home button over then it would be to take out the power button. Because the power button you pretty much have to take everything out of the phone anyway if I remember correctly. They can be a little finicky to do. It sounds like you’re on the right track. 👍

No the iPhone 5 is not compatible with the SE. The 5S is very similar but I’m still not sure if it’s exactly the same.

No it doesn’t matter they all fit the same. You can put in a bigger board. You will want the original Touch ID button that came with that board you are installing though.

good video, but you missed a few of the important tips like disconnect the battery and turn off the phone before disconnecting anything

Thanks actually I mentioned turning off the phone within the first like five seconds of the video. And I did disconnect the screen connectors first before disconnecting the battery but yes it would be a good idea to disconnect the battery first if you can keep your phone screen held up during that process without putting too much tension on your screen connectors then do those second.

If you can put in a T-Mobile or unlocked board it should. Try to find one with original Touch ID button too or Touch ID won’t work.
