Great video! Step-by-step, very clear. I didn’t have the specialty pliers so it went slower for me. Other than that, excellent job!

Sometimes after decades of use and some leaking, the pump will get stuck on the motor shaft. If it does, you might have to cut it off (like I did) - not fun.

Thank you so much! the mechanic was going to charge me $2k for a new unit. All i did was tighten that bolt and the heater worked again! I wasted 3 hours at the mechanic for them to tell me it was the climate control module and your video helped me fix it in 5 seconds!

Hi, I'm attempting to fix my this phone but the ribbon cable is slightly peeled off from the top of the headphone jack. What glue do I need to affix the ribbon cables? I also have ribbon cables I need to glue that are dangling from the new screen assembly. Thanks.

Great video. Gave me the confidence to tackle this one. I had some minor differences in the configuration but it was easy to figure out. It took me 2-1/2 hours and putting the rear spring on was the most difficult part. Thank you!

The pex pipe is half inch. I believe I was trying for 1 inch conduit, but the three-quarter conduit worked as well it was just a little tighter. The 1 inch gives you a little more room. I believe I should have it listed down in the video description below the video as well.

Is the rough framing in your video 2x6’s? Or 2x4’s? It looks like 2x6’s but i wasn’t sure if it was the angle in the video or if they are actually 2x6. I’m assuming a 2x4 wall would be fine, right? Ive got the Johnson 1500SC Pocket Door. Thanks! And great video!

Hey man, great repair video! Excellent in fact! One of the best I've ever seen, very clear and no BS. Well done! Mine was acting up and after checking coolant, etc, I searched for Highlander no heat and this video was near the top of the list. Took it apart and did the repair today. I snipped the 3 wire ribbon completely off at both ends and soldered in 3 individual wires, works perfect now. Thank you very much. Subscribed now too by the way.

I had no idea so many people didn’t know how to pump gas. The way I learned was just growing up, I’d step out the car and talk to my parents while they pumped gas. I never had to ask anyone how it was done I just saw it get done so much I knew what to do. It’s funny to me how things like this can be such an enigma. I have no concept of the kinds of circumstances that could cause someone to not know well enough how to fill up a car with gas, while also knowing well enough how to look up a KZbin tutorial. Lol Like where I’m from none of us put chains on our tires, I’m sure it’s second nature to people up north, but STILL-all vehicles need gas. Changing your own oil to these ppl must be like magic or some kind of advanced grease monkey task?

How did you get the cable for the latch to stick out so you could reconnect? Mine keeps retracting.
@SmartEasyDIYer

I don’t actually remember specifically, but I don’t think mine was an issue at all. Down the road I even ended up changing the cable out because mine was too stretched and it still reattached just fine.

Thanks for the detailed video. Very helpful for finding all the hidden clips and bolts. Unfortunately, it’s my second time doing this. I replaced the original latch about 18 months ago with the recommended “all metal” one from Amazon. It barely lasted a year before it started to fail. This time I bought the $100 OEM handle. The original lasted about 18 years, much better than the one year for the Amazon version.
