I don’t understand is my phone screen is starting to pop up on the side of the power button I have an iPhone X and I thought it was just the battery expanding but since it’s on the side with the power button it just makes me think maybe I need to replace the adhesive but Man replacing adhesive seems a little bit difficult already I don’t have all the tools and I thought maybe I could just get adhesive and just put it on the frame and push it down and maybe hold it there I just don’t know what to do

Does the color of the water proof adhesive matter? I see there are whites and black ones. Is this adhesive visible once the LCD is set back into.place?

Hey Smart Easy DIY, I recently dropped my iPhone X into the bath whilst bathing my son Joshua (He is 9 months!) and its no longer charging properly. I've followed your steps intensely however had no success :( Is there any further steps I can follow to fix this issue or will I need to buy a new phone? Hmm not sure how the constipation would affect the phone charging..so do you think water got into the phone? If so it could help to put the phone in a bag of rice. Google it. You could try a wireless charger and see if that works for charging. If so maybe just the charging port went bad when it got wet.

I think if it’s sealed properly you should be able to. I don’t think I’d trust aftermarket as much as from the factory personally. It should help with splatters but not sure about fully submerged.

looking for the same answers,FYI I just did a battery replacement on my iPhone X and with seal and everything,and afterwards I did a splash test on my iPhone and it still functions properly but not sure if will it still works if I submerge…

You only lose true tone if you replace your screen with a new one. You can reprogram the new one to use true tone, though.

You could but I don’t recommend it it’s never quite as perfect as factory. Even with factory seal I don’t recommend intentionally trying to get it wet. Lol
