This is so interesting! I was indeed immediately taken by the writing surrounding the piece - that's not something I've seen often. There was a bit of skepticism about the idyllic sounding treaty between Penn and the Lenape. Would they say this was a place of peaceful coexistence and religious tolerance? I never knew about the true name for Quakers - "The Religious Society of Friends." That's a bit of a mouthful, so I can appreciate why "Quaker" became the popular version, but why "Quaker"? I'm glad Hicks found a way to beat the system and pursue his passion without sacrificing his integrity. "Noah's Ark" looked amazing! I guess my earlier question about Penn/Lenape was answered near the end of the video. It's a shame, but where competing interests exist, so does conflict.
