The fed has the gold valued at less the 40$ a ounce, this information is buried deep somewhere, I think people need to seriously consider gold at this point in time, why? Is because the fed and all the counterparts have been buying, consider Russia’s recent major announcement to purchase nearly 1 billion in gold over the next two months, the current gold buying can be seen as a currency war of sorts that may last for some time (years) and so gold will continue to run wildly high, this could possibly be a lead up a currency reset in the us which has happened 4 times in the last 150 years ago, this is something that few people talk about and even fewer seem to know about, then there is a small possibility of gold confiscation to fight the currency war. Both in the next five years, some of this may depend on how far the government will go with a digital currency of its own, not that I see to much of a purpose for it considering that most transactions are already digital anyways,

Ft Knox doesn't hold all the gold held by the US. That would be the NY Federal Reserve. At one time. There were 6 floors below the world trade center 1. That's 6 floors that were 1/10 of a mile x 1/10 of a mile x1/10 of a mile x 1/10 of a mile. With gold stacked from floor to ceiling. With 60-foot ceilings. I know for a fact, because I saw it with my own eyes. I worked for AT&T in 1979. I installed the phones in the Tresurary security stations on each of the floors. I was escorted by 3 Tresurary security agents. Each carrying a Thompson machine gun.

I hope the new system will also have easy convertibility helping tourism. In fact there can be a Global common Currency with easy convertibility and valid for a long period of time say 10 years or so. So even if BRICS held most of this gold, it would be worth around $16 trillion, hardly enough to cover the world’s GDP of $100 trillion … gold is pretty but it’s a dead end as a world currency! There is more than just doubts about the US gold holdings. US gold stocks have not been audited in decades and there are serious questions how much of that gold is actually still left in the vaults of the US federal reserve and Fort Knox. There is a good chance that a good portion of that gold was used to manipulate the gold price down in support of the USD. Furthermore there is the question of who is really the owner of the gold which is still in those vaults. Even the Gold council admitted that precious metals are traded at multiples (more than x100) of the available stocks. A lot of the gold in these vaults is sold several times over to different owners. Fact that it took the US months to return merely a fraction of German gold holdings, stored in the US, and that the gold they received were not the original bars, but newly minted bars, is a clearly indication that the gold was simply not there. A request of the German government to audit their own gold held in the US, was categorically denied, for "safety reasons". Looking at GDP doesn't tell you anything. GDP is a massively flawed measure, which has little to do with real economic power. It is completely distorted by the fact that government spending is counted as GDP and doesn't take in account the purchasing value of that money in the national economies. The best way to pump up this number is for a government to spend more money and the US is doing just that. Over the last 100 days, US debt grew by more than 2.1 trillion $, if annualized this comes down to 7.66 trillion or about 30% of the US GDP. If you look at GDP in Purchasing Power Parity terms, you get a complete different picture, although it's still seriously distorted by government spending. In that case the US is already surpassed by China, Russia surpassed Germany in 2023 and is poised to surpass Japan in 2024, putting them in 4th position. In (PPP) GDP numbers, BRICS surpassed the G7 already in 2023.

And...you thought inflation was bad now! More worthless USD = Less purchasing power for the USD therefore driving inflation up. Who is going to pay for this? Primarily Umuwreckan tax payers. Plus any country dumb enough to still trade with Umuwrecka.

@@silentbliss7666 why would they care, if you are going to reset currency’s to gold, why not buy it with Monopoly money. The other option is to inflate the debt away. Either way is a catastrophe.

A currency linked with fixed quantity of what has stable putchasing power will satisfy scientific ., rational and shariah cfiterian of being right and efficient measure of unit of measurement of value and account and if it is convertible to what it is linked with or equivalent purchasing power it will be great step for justice and to curb economic fraud ,corruption and exploitation
