Hey there Driver. So glad you took the time to drop by to watch today's video. Well what's your plan of action for 2023? Will you stay where you are with your present company? Or will you make a change? Will you stay with being a company driver? An Owner Operator? Or an independent? Love to hear how you'll handle this current volatile wave in trucking.

This is why I stay company. I don’t spend any money, I make 6 figures, and I don’t worry. With Foodliner hauling bulk flower right now, but going back to Crete to be on the road again and Crete is doing very well as far as loads go, and treat drivers well.

I’m staying right where I am. I’m leased to a great carrier with a dedicated route (3770 miles per week), drop n hook freight, my truck’s paid for and running great with a newly in framed Cummins ISX. I’ll be alright.

Look local! There are a lot of niche markets that will make you money and keep you close to home. I stay local and bought a older straight truck with a 22 foot chain floor box. No ELD or log book needed and the truck makes 135 bucks a hour (Wa. State) and I have more work than I want.

Nice video. Keep it up d. Trucking is a great occupation which yields a lot of money but not everyone is lucky speaking from the other side if you understand, I was into trucking about 6 years ago and as at then I worked for FedEx before I went on driving trucks for companies which I was taken advantage of until I became so fed up and made up my mind of being an entrepreneur of my own and decided to hire and highly skilled and licensed grant writer and editor to help me through my application on government grants and I was awarded $500k as a startup capital and today I can proudly bold of owning my own truck company in which I make over 37k a month as my profit and now I'm in the process of starting up a daycare business for my wife and a salon for my sister. So therefore determination is a key to good living and erasing the mentality of being and underdog too helps a lot, knowing your worth also, I know not everyone is determined to be successful in life but my advice is for you to not be among the Unsuccessful ones.

Your some what right the ata has always been against the o/o for years . If you have good brokers your wrong on that. But if you haul cheap freight you get what you so. Been an on for 45 years and have survived.......good year to do maintenance. There is no such thing as a back haul that was started by expedited carriers be careful and safe

Hey buddy. I try to keep up with your videos often. They are VERY informative and has helped me obtain a better outlook on trucking as a whole. Thanks for your time and effort. I would like to ask FMCSA a question and thought I’ll ask you first. Why can’t the 14 hour clock stop while I’m fueling? Many times I found my self stuck at the fuel island between 2 trucks 30 to 40 minutes after fueling. These lost minutes would have been enough to either get to my DC or shipper. I also feel the ELD count down is much faster than my watch.

I am a logger not a trucker. But today I got another chance at driving a log truck in PA. It was an 8 speed tractor with a 5th wheel and 40" log trailer. Originally it was meant to be something to give a friend's paralyzed daughter something to laugh at. This is much easier on my body at 51 than logging, I cracked all my ribs and sternum broke 3 & once had a horse roll over me. Any way, the owner of the truck said I'm the 1st he saw that knows how to downshift properly & would be good at this. Do you know of anyone who would take me on as a student? Or is that not legal? I learned to drive a 71 Peterbilt back in 94 or 95 it had 2 sticks and either a 6+4 or 4+4 to get certified a professional logger here in PA. In 2008-09 in Iraq I had a 62 ton license (because of my loggers cert) so would be asked to move everything including our Abrams tanks (I am a Navy vet). The loads there averages 167000lbs if memory serves me. I liked the Scania best even though there shift pattern was odd. We got logging shut down again by the abc's. The driver let me drive his empty lowboy (I offloaded a Cletrac so he didn't have to unhitch/rehitch). It was snowy today we were at the landing. He said again I'd be good at this since I don't get flustered. BUT he also said it's the last time I wear my corks in his truck. Do you or anyone you know have opinions on paid cdl training? If so who do youn's recommend?

With a small reefer carrier in Ohio. Gotta grind and work my way up but being at the point where I'm depositing over 2k in my account is a realistic target within the next 3 years. Current gross once we get the bonuses consistent, 1800 gross pretty easily on a consistent basis. Best deal I've found so far and the overall way the company is ran and getting on with everyone is unmatched. Been with 8 freakin carriers so far 🤦🤦🤦
