I now realize that the Grumps are more likely to make comedy gold when they are reacting to a video game, rather than coming up with stuff themselves on the spot when the game they are playing is stale. Examples: 1) "WHAT IS THIS"!? -Sonic 06 2) "WHAT HAPPENED!?"- Super mario sunshine. 3) The giant plant monster- Battlekid finale. 4) Pushing Sharks- Windwaker 5) Your dying brother- Dog Island 6) Mr. Sandman fight- Punchout Wii 7) Lose a turn- Wheel of fortune 8) Rejected by Helena- Dead or Alive Xtreme 2 9) Not so Ninjas- Scooby Doo cyber chase 10) Selfie with Ganon- Windwaker 11) Macho Man Dragons- Skyrim Of course, they occasionally create comedy gold themselves (such as Spoofy and the 'walking with Sasquatch narrative'), but the bottom line is, they should either play great games that can give you something to work with (Windwaker, Sunshine, Skyrim, etc), or god awful games that breaks your sanity (Sonic 06, Battlekid, etc).

Okay guys, I understand both sides of this debate. I'm no fan of SJW's, and my initial gut reaction to the complaints were, "Deal with it." Then I remembered that Game Grumps had censored rape jokes and racial slurs before. Arin, Danny, and Barry will decide what warrants censorship or content warning on their channel. If Danny thinks it was a problem and apologized for it, we should respect that. Game Grumps has a wide audience, and insisting that the Grumps not censor themselves could very well drive some of them away. If you're too hardline about this, you'd basically be asking them to reduce the number of Lovelies, which as a KZbin channel is typically a stupid move. tl;dr It's their show let them do whatever the fuck they want with it

As a survivor of sexual assault and abuse, I have never been once offended by the Game Grumps whenever they talk about rape. I may still struggle with PTSD, and sometimes jokes about it are too offensive, but the Game Grumps mean no harm when they speak of rape. I actually think it was quite funny when Danny said he got ass-raped, and I laughed along with him. I don't see any harm in the use of the word "rape" in a manner like they do. I have to put my foot down if, say, some guy had a shirt on that said "Keep Calm and Rape On", or he was joking with some friends and he joked and talked about raping women or men. Rape is not a joke, trust me, I know and I have suffered years and years of it, but the Grumps mean no harm when they talk about it in their videos. I come down here to post a comment about laughing because Danny always sucks at quiz show games and I find people seriously complaining about the usage of the word 'rape' in the video, which... I honestly don't even remember Danny saying, and I just finished the video. Great. Like, if you're seriously affected adversely to the word rape, my advice would be to go get legitimate professional help, and not in the jokey "hurr durr you're crazy" sort of way. Engage in therapy to help you deal with the triggering memories and words and help get yourself acclimated and able to deal with accidentally running into these things that legitimately cause you mental harm. You can't realistically expect the whole world 100% of the time to be able to prepare in advance for you, where you're afraid to go anywhere or see anything because there might be something that reminds you of a horrible experience you had. Seeing someone about this personally has a far greater chance at helping you overcome these terrible memories/experiences than not doing that and just trying to get everyone in the world to not mention the word anymore.

You know what annoys me? You can make jokes about murder, a crime most people will agree is worse than rape, and everything's fine, but if you even refer to rape in a non-serious context, everyone gets butthurt. See, now there is a world of difference between making a rape joke and using a hyperbole to describe how badly you lost. Look - the world will never cater to anybody, and these things are said. We live in a world where people are taught to be offended -- we've become a little too sensitive I think. Merely uttering the word rape is not something that should/normally would trigger somebody, especially if it's in a non-serious, joking manner. Had Danny said something along the lines of "I hope every rape victim gets raped again" then /that/ would be cause for concern, valid criticism and a reason to be upset/offended/disgusted/angry. But that didn't happen, now did it? Danny is one of the nicest, most compassionate and caring people ever and people are upset by a comment he said? Jesus fucking Christ. These guys are known for borderline offensive humour, so why is it a surprise? Why are words even affecting you guys anyway? Is anything I'm saying triggering someone? Do you associate pie with something horrible in your past? A fucking pie incident? Probably not. The word rape in itself is not offensive - the manner Danny said it in was not offensive. Nothing about this episode was fucking offensive. Seriously, I totally understand and agree that rape is arguably the worst crime you could ever commit and if you have been sexually assaulted and/or raped -- I sincerely apologise for everything you've had to go through. But try to learn when to be offended and when not to be. There are times when the Grumps need to be called out and this is not one of those times.
