I believe the guy who made the reworked Classic Mode didn't change Kirby's route because of the food spawns being hard coded, may also explain why it still spawned in your own Kirby route lol

Now listen, I appreciate the hard work and new bold things this team does... But man am I starting to low-key despise how shafted Kirby tends to get in these Smash Bros fan mods and fan games. He rarely gets anything new or interesting and is often one of the more forgettable and overlooked characters because of it (Doesn't help that he's typically seen as pretty low tier either), especially when other characters on the roster can get entire moveset overhauls. I don't know if it's because doing custom stuff for Kirby is a pain, people are too scared to touch him, or they just don't care much for him in general, but it's getting tiring seeing Kirby pretty much do what he's always been doing for the past 25 years only faster 💀
