49:00 Gumi's air skill actually has a fixed knock back range. it's the only move that still have fixed knock back since they made her do more knock back depending on hp percentage. I think the reason they change the ground skill but leave the air skill unchanged is because people that use butterfly effect usually always do the air skill into ult if they can. but not the vice versa.

I see, that makes sense actually. No wonder the knockback is far even when hitting opponents with high HP This is actually good because it will always act as a decent defensive move to give you more space. I do think that the dev was too lazy to test and missed it, better not let them know or they will patch it too

It's a must have ability, everyone should try it before improving their Gumi's gameplay. It will help you become more active with ult and make your ult timing better

I want to be good with gumi but I feel like I always just get jumped by melee and assassins and I can’t do anything :(

That's just part of playing Gumi, match up experience is very needed. Against some characters you are in a losing game, but there are in fact things you can still do in certain situations. Like.. If you can't run away when they jump towards you, go under them instead. Instead of jumping in place, try jumping backward or to a direction and counter the opponent when they charge in with air attacks. Quickly hit them with your air auto if they are right in your face when jumping, a lot of characters have a pause in the air.
