I never listened to smash mouth much but I grew up with some of there songs that were in very popular movies like Shrek as an example. This song in the cat and the hat outro was something I would always dance to as a kid and was one of my favorite songs from them. I'm 19 now and I still find this song catchy. It's very sad to hear about Steve Harwell's condition. Weather he is reading this or not I want to thank him for raising a generation of children. His legacy will live on for generations to come!

One of my favourites, and I'm tearing up a bit listening to it again after the news. This song comes with an important lesson; you're never going to please everyone. While you're still on this Earth, you should make the most of the life you've been given, and "catch the tiger by its tail". I don't think anyone exemplified that more than Steve Harwell. Rest in Peace, you legend.

Great song's with upbeat and friendly messages. Catchy melodies with his unmistakable vocals. All of us were hooked. He's loved forever. Just as it should be. His music will be loved forever as well. It's just really good timeless musical fun.

R.I.P Steve Harwell January 9th , 1967 - September 4th, 2023 I hope you're in a better place my friend. I still remember being just a little infant hearing All Star being the big hit back when Shrek released way back then. You've touched so many childhoods in this generation including mine. You've defined many people's good times with animation and music growing up. And that is something you never forget. Being a child is precious. We all only get one chance to be young. And so anyone that makes those days fond to remember, we will love for the rest of our lives. And this inspires me to impact other child's lives positively. Steve, you've left a beautiful mark on this planet. Though you're no longer here in person. You're with us in heart! That's the beauty of music. You were able to leave behind your messages, your voice, and your heart in this world for many to remember and to love! And we all will be able to tell future generations stories about you so your story will continue. For the future kids I hope to have some day, they're definitely gonna have our favorite all star in their childhood as well! I'll end this with my personal favorite song from yours. I particularly like the message of it. Especially "You'll never make everybody's day, but while you're around you might as well, catch the tiger by it's tail!" To me this song (Hang On) is a reminder that no matter what you're going through, remember life ain't a smooth ride and you won't make everyone happy. So you must keep moving forward and try your best regardless and hang on! And Steve, you've hung on all you can. And we're happy you did. And we will love you man! I hope you're in a better place my friend! Our All Star! Amen!

Use to watch Shrek just because of "All Star" and "believer", and as a kid I would watch cat in the hat, but when the Cat in the Hat was over I would just sit through the credits just for the song "Hang on". My other favorite song from that movie was "getting better" but I didn’t have to wait for credits on that one I just had to wait for the clean up scene where the Cat and the things help clean the house! Ironically though, I never knew till my Teens that the person that wrote the song all Star wuz the same guy and the same band that did those other songs I liked lol! 21 now almost 22 next Wednesday, and I wake up this morning to find out hes in hospice, just to hear he passed away a few hours later.
