To anyone using Project 64 and having an issue where opening the rom only leads into a black screen, try going into Options -> Settings -> Config Smash Remix -> and change the Memory size from 4Mb to 8Mb. That did it for me!

Since Super Smash Bros. 64 was released in 1999, I guess the following newcomers will be: - Sonic (in his classic/Sonic R appearance) - Unnamed Protagonist, or known as Naoya in the manga (Revelations: Persona) - Erdrick/Solo/any Dragon Quest heroes before VII - Banjo-Kazooie - Terry Bogard (in his Fatal Fury appearance) - Snake (in his Metal Gear Solid appearance) and the cut characters (Bowser, King Dedede, Mewtwo, Marth)

I hope they don't go 1:1 with Ultimate's choices, the atmosphere of 64 is pretty different. Dedede, Bowser, Wario (GBC), and Diddykong (GBC) are glaring and iconic omissions from the roster, sure. For the platform guests, I think Bomberman (Nintendo mainstay, very popular 64 and GBC releases) and Glover (tell me you don't want to see Glover vs Master Hand) are shoe-ins. The guests of honor could still have Mega Man (frequent Nintendo visitor), but I think James Bond is more appropriate (and easier to "make fit") than Snake.

so ive tried following all instructions in the readme to patch a legit .z64 file, (did the drag method, and the xdeltaui tool) and both times when i go to boot it in the project 64 emulator it sits on a black screen at 60 vi/s, nothing happens. however, the unaltered rom still works fine. what am i doing wrong? is this somehow tied to the fact that im using a 64bit version of windows 7?

My stage textures are blacked out. I'm playing on not64 emulator. Nex textures like Falco and Ganondorf look great. Stages from original assets work (battlefield, FD). All the custom stages like mementos and great deku tree are black textures that I can stand on. Is there anything I can do?
