You should note that soft throwing bombs while you're grounded will let them hit the ground without exploding. You can space yourself to throw bombs and have them sit at or roll off ledge and hit recovering opponents. This is pretty useful for pressuring/trapping ledge from a distance.

So let me see if I can summarize this right... Big Link: Bomb juggling and setups into hard-hitting punishes and kick combos Toon Link: Bait and punish projectile responses into aerial sword combos by using your high move speed. Young Link: "Fuckit if something lands just do whatever feels right."

YL has been my main since Melee. When he got brought back I was so happy. I don't watch much competitive Smash Bros stuff but coming across this video made me realize that I've been playing YL correctly (I guess) so that just makes me wonder if I'd be decent at a local comp? I'm not the type to go with what's trending so competitive play wasn't really on my radar but I'm no casual either. Smash bros was my life for YEARS! Then I had kids so I don't play as often lmao Nice video! I'll check out more of your stuff. It's making me reconsider joining a local tournament.

Learn your rang fair 1 combos before your IRAR bairs, down tilt AC bair is true but dont fall into the AC bair trap. Always IRAR for yink. After 3 weeks you should be also working on recovery mixups(his getup attack and roll suck), like wall jump b reverse fire arrow into down air

@@TreebeardXIV If you are fully drifting backwards and hit the first hit of back-air, the second hit won’t connect unless it’s a big character. It doesn’t really account for Y.Link’s movement. It’s a big problem if you try to back-air out of shield. First hit connects, but second consistently whiffs.

@Hawking Chair I use LAN and have about 48mbps speed on my Switch. Every YL ever always seems to lag right as I'm shielding or doing anything. It's always a freaking Powerpoint presentation with them.
