It's just a complicated game that has so many FUNDAMENTAL things to learn that are basically applicable to every character. However, aside from some Up-Special tricks, he/she has very little complicated stuff beyond that. After learning Byleth, moving onto Corrin is more fun, IMHO. I guess it is a command grab on the top hit box of the sword
@baltharaaz98474 жыл бұрын
@@varylix871 It's specifically a "hitgrab," which is a move that executes grab like functions upon connecting with the hitbox. Throw/grab immunity is near nonexistent in Smash outside of chain grab prevention (that yellow flash after a throw or grab-release), so a lot of stuff will lose to hitgrabs. They're pretty common in traditional FGs. Other hitgrabs include Terry's Buster Wolf, Isabelle's Fishing Rod, and Joker's Grappling Hook. Wonderwing is fully invincible, not intangible. Therefore, hitboxes will still make contact with Banjo and, due to the functionality of hitgrabs, blow through Wonderwing. Often invincibility can be preferable to intangibility, especially when trading with moves, because the hitbox will still make contact with the invincible foe and force the attacker into hit lag with the recipient receiving none themselves. Intangibility is useful to have moves beat out others when said move is applied properly because, for the moment, the intangible part is effectively nonexistent as far as hitboxes go. It is extremely useful on movement options to be safe or blow through things like projectiles (see the Ryu and Ken Tatsu buff for reference), and it is also useful on probing/combo starting/anti air hitboxes to effectively serve as a safe disjoint versus the opponent's option.

If that is true, up-B snaps to ledge a lot faster than it hits opponents. According to my notes, it hits opponents anywhere from frame 12-18 when used in the air. It might be able to hit on 11, but if it can the hitbox is so specific and close ranged it won't matter in practice

Somewhere around 100% (depending on the enemy's weight), Up-B to Side-B becomes a true kill combo for some fighters. I've picked up a lot of KOs even online like that. Most times, DIing away from Byleth makes this combo even deadlier, because you'll just bounce off the stage, reach Byleth's hight and you'll just be met with Aredbhar's sweetspot, launching you right into the top blast zone.

The down b can also be turned around and fall through platforms. It also has armor and instant breaks shields. It kills around 35%. If you juggle opponents onto a platform and they have no jump, it becomes easy to use as when opponents land. They will either tech the ground or land. The move along with side b go through the platforms so it normally results in a broken shield or a panic roll. The move is too dangerous to punish under these circumstances usually. Also the fair and bair cancel fast enough to do a f tilt or jabs to make incorrect spacing the attack safer. Go for tech chases. All her options are better for it. Her side b also pushes her backwards a little in the air so you can actually go a bit further out off stage or for a safe recovery on an opponent waiting to chase from a platform. Ps Her side b can be long or short. The tip seems to have a sweetspot. But I can't control the distance. Seems a smash gets distance and a tilt gets less, but both are wrong half the time on the ground.

Hallelujah! One person in this comment section that correctly said: "Him" rather than: "He/She." Robin, Corrin, and Byleth are all examples of characters who (in general) should be called "He" unless you're specifically playing as female then and only then do you say "she." Wii fit trainer is the opposite. So no, this isn't some male oriented thing (for the unlearned out there it may concern.) It's proper and grammatical English! It is grammatically incorrect to ever call a person: "It" or "They" we are not objects, and we are not multiples. "It" always implies objectivity, and "they" always implies multiplicity. I seriously hate political correctness.

Except that you wouldn't understand them due to the language changing over time, something I urge you to comprehend. Here's a challenge: Look up the Oxford definition for the word "they". @YourCrazyDolphin4 жыл бұрын
Neutral B is also decent for edge guarding. Opponents who fail to respect it (or notice it) will often be ko'd, and those who do react often waste their dodge or are made to fast fall, limiting their recovery options or even potentially gimping them in a "lose-lose" situation. Sometimes this will even work if you slightly mis-time the shot to where it would miss regardless, though this has more to do with people just not being familiar with Byleth over an actual strength.

The thing about DK isn’t entirely true, I’ve tested it and Air Dodge or not, if he doesn’t DI in the correct direction during the combo, you WILL suffer a 0 to death. Problem is remembering to do that in the first place.

Side B can hit the sweetspot on ledge hangers but you have to land with the aerial version onstage

I thought I was good with Terry, them came Hero and then Byleth. I rarely lose with her. Once every 100 matches, maybe more.

So last weekend I got all the dlc characters and played with my cousin and brother. I played byleth like half way through the night when we all did random. Dear god when I up b and whipped up to my cousin then kicked him off stage he and my brother where just terrified to be anywhere near getting kicked off the stage. Whenever we didn’t do random I picked byleth and just dominated them.

To be real Byleth is really like scorpion from Mortal Kombat just she and he doesn't say "get over here!"
