Most of it is theory craft. Their tech is too difficult to pull off in a match most of the time against a good player. They need more practical options... They have some but it's not enough.

Climbers Of Ice well yes but actually no That main zero to death combo ( in the first vid ) plenty of people have pulled it off and even ESAM did it in tournament once as of right now this character might be slightly below average but in the future like when all 5 DLC’s are out Facing an Icies main is gon be genuinely terrifying Because all of this stuff usually true combos so it doesn’t matter if it’s against a good player or not It just happens to be completely freaking absurd how hard it is to do This character complex as frick

Pretty simple really. Just input a spotdodge or a roll right before Popo grabs an opponent and nana will roll before you can throw them.

NEW DESYNC DISCOVERED! Press and hold down+grab and nana spot dodges very late. With this you can input a throw direction, release the direction and than input a different direction with nana whereas with all other grab desyncs you have to use the direction you throw toward. Down throw into jump fair with nana is the best combo I’ve discovered with this. Down throw to upsmash is cool but probably not practical. Also this desync works if you hold forward or back on the initial grab instead of down and mana will roll but the timing is trickier and I haven’t found any practical applications for it.

The one thing these really technical frame abusing videos need is a gamecube controller input visualizer. Like the one Zero uses in his videos and streams. I'm a visual learner so seeing the inputs right there would be much easier and would really help me get these monsters into Elite Smash. Please figure out how to do this Izaw, and try and make it happen.

The year is 21XX. Everyone plays Ice Climbers at TAS levels of perfection. Because of this, the winner of a match depends solely on port priority. The RPS metagame has evolved to ridiculous levels due to it being the only remaining factor to decide matches.

For this punish it’s fairly simple: just forward throw -> down B -> F.air -> 360 no scope -> silent shot -> taunt to get bodies -> destruction -> jabowokeez -> then pop off

Want to throw out, if you z grab and press down at the same time, nana will spot dodge while popo grabs, this can give different timings for some of these combos, but also, it means you don't have to worry about the timing for nana rolling before the slam, since as long as you start an action with popo before the spot dodge is completely done, you can buffer other actions to nana without worrying about her re syncing

I feel like theres something edge-guard related that can be done on battlefield by putting nana on the platform and having popo on the ground, which can be done by falling just by the edge of the platform so that nana still lands on it, or do a landing aerials to make nana do something while popo drops through the platform. only battlefield's platforms are low enough to where nana won't follow popo back down, (you can do it on lylat too, but only on a very small section on the inside of the outer platforms)

I don't know if it was intentional (although it certainly might have been), but choosing Fourside because it represents two flip images of each other, Fourside and Moonside simultaneously, just like how the Ice Climbers are flip sides of each other that coexist simultaneously, is pretty cool.
