I'm glad you brought up how easy it is to use hell sweep with this tech. I haven't seen any other content creators bring it up. I started using it to chase and punish rolls after landing side b and it is so satisfying

You can cancel your start up animation of Neijiri Uraken by pressing shield. If you let immediately go of your shield Kazuya will feint. You can use this to feint Neijiri Urake and then immediately go for other options such as EWGF. I find a lot easier to input Dragon Punch reset to neutral and reapeat this then dashing forward and pressing down on the C stick at the same time. You can also just press shield or press down the moment you see the spark go off and the press A to perform the Demon God Fist.

I discovered that you can cancel Kazuya's while standing down-tilt with shield. It's like Smash's equivalent of wavedash pressure. I call it "Nejiri-cancelling".

What is your controller layout. When I dash, c stick down, I just get a dash into a down tilt, and I'm not really sure what I'm doing wrong

Does the dash c stick down only work for the Gamecube controller because for me it just inputs a tilt. Do I have to change my controls Because I use the pro controller

so you have to have it set to tilt stick and if its giving you a tilt you are not releasing the cstick fast enough

The "Mist Step" name actually applies to a unique sidestep before the "Crouch Dash" (this is what you should name) that goes into Demon Uppercut or E/WGF but great video regardless. Thanks for the Yodeling. (I also suspect you aren't using standard controls since Tilt Stick is common, but it is worth saying it).

this didnt make sense to me at first but the best way i can explain (finally figuring it out) is Dash, Hold analog, D c-stick, Reset analog to neutral, repeat. my hands might just be alot slower but this worked for me =)

There's an easier way to do demon god fist out of dash walk; if you press a as soon as you let go of forward on the stick you'll get it consistently.

Since the forward + cstick down is a dp motion (according to the game), I wonder if you could do an EWGF (one of Kazyua's best moves) out of a mist step

Wow, there was no way I was going to figure out how to do some of these on my own. Is there a way to get an instant ff3 (the reflector kick) from standing without having to do the double forwards inputs? I’m terrible at trying to reflect projectiles on reaction without buffering a forwards input beforehand

I was able to do his while rising A after a crouch dash without hitting shield or any of that, if you just delay the A input for a little bit after the dash, you'll get it.

I would love to see C stick down dash into while standing A in action! In Tekken, elite Kazuya players are able to do wavedash really fast and cancel into his while standing A and I would love to see it used in actual smash matches

You have to make sure you input dash back first. If you are getting dtilt you are hitting c stick first

the mist step is called the (wave dash) in tekken

Mist Step is a special sidestep for Kazuya in Tekken (and a special crouch dash for Lee). Crouch dash is called just that, a crouch dash, while wave dashing is the technique of cancelling multiple crouch dashes into one another. It's like how you wouldn't call a regular backdash a "Korean backdash," because KBDing refers to the technique and isn't a move in and of itself.
