And now, they were patched to be the exact same. ...(sighs). You know, I believe that daisy 100% deserves to be here. Besides toad, she's been a mario character that has very early origins, is a well known character, has a fun personality that you either love or you love to hate, and she's evolved to be more than just peach 2 and has her own unique things about her. Besides toad (of course), daisy definitely deserved to be the next mario representative. Even MORE than waluigi. But honestly they way she is in this game is more disappointing the more I think back to it. Honestly, the fact that she only has some different animations for things like her idle, taunts, or victories, while nice touches, really isn't enough. I probably wouldn't be complaining this much if it weren't for the fact that Ken is in the game. Of all the echo fighters, Ken had the most business of copying the exact moveset that ryu has. And yet, he's somehow the most unique of all the echo fighters. And while I am happy about that, I kinda feel that it's a little unfair. I feel like this isn't as much of a problem for characters like richter (because he shares some moves with simon), lucina (because... well, lucina), and chrom (because... well, chrom). Dark pit could've been a little different, I guess, considering the game he comes from. But him being pit's clone is kinda his thing. But I easily feel that this problem affects daisy and dark samus the most. It's just even more insulting to dark samus when you consider the fact that in smash 4, her assist trophy was more unique than her in ultimate, showing that she could've been something more. But even she has a few differences in terms of hitboxes and dodges. But back to daisy. It doesn't seem right that a moveset that was more suited for peach is just plastered on her. She doesn't even get any stat differences. I just personally feel like daisy could've been a luigi/lucas like character. Sure, have some moves that replicate peach, but as opposed to elegance and grace, she should act energetic and spunky, have a few different animations from peach. And if she has to be an echo, then at least give her some different stats! Make her slightly faster than peach, but also slightly weaker than her, like in the sports games. Because I believe that the princess of sarasaland deserves more than what she's gotten. She is an important, and recognizable part of the mario cast, who has made an impact on many. She deserves to be in this game, dangit, she's earned it! So she deserves a little respect! And sorry for the long comment.

After over a week of this, IMO Daisy is better at top level. The only real advantage Peach has over Daisy is Dot and Stitch face veggies as those are the only ones that could kill. Even if all turnips have more knockback for peach, generally speaking getting hit by a veggie offstage against both will mean certain death anyways since they have great edgeguarding thanks to float. It's very impractical to get low percent combos specific to Peach as finding a D-Tilt or Float cancel Nair is way better. Meanwhile, high percent kill confirms for Daisy can see lots of use when pressuring the opponent and killing as soon as possible in Smash is always a better thing. So to me, both are just as effective for edgeguarding, but because Daisy has more options for kill confirms, I have to give her the edge, even if it's slight and nobody will care.

What Peach is like/does: Invites Mario to eat cake, gets kidnapped What Rosalina is like/does: Travels through space watching over the cosmos, Fosters and cares for the entire race of Lumas, Resets the universe along with the Lumas, Explains the life cycle of a Luma/star, returns to the Gateway Galaxy every century, reads you her backstory (which is rare for a Mario character, to say the least) in which she leaves her home out of sympathy for a lost Luma to help the Luma find its mother, gets lost in space, builds a home on a comet that later turns into the Comet Observatory, becomes the adoptive mother of the Lumas, and loses her own mother and family.

*WARNING: WORD VOMIT, THIS IS MY IDEA GUYS* Neutral Special: Party Dice! Dice block from MP, goes from 1-6. Depending on the number that is rolled, a small explosion with confetti and petals will deal more damage and knockback to Daisy's opponents when the number increases. This would work as a counter, and would replace Blue Toad in Daisy's counter. If the dice is not used as a counter and lands on a six, Daisy is healed 5-10% (this number is random!). Side Special: Petal Pummel! Its the special move from the M/S Olympics series, where she jumps forward (somewhat hovers, too) with her knee in front of her, and a barrage of petals propelling her forward. This will replace the Peach/Daisy bomber; it would be much faster and have less lag, however it would deal less damage/knock back. It would serve as a kill confirm or combo starter, with the cherry on top being the loud "Yee haaawww!!!" Daisy would shout. (With a small "woo" afterwards if the move hits) Down Special: 3, 2, 1, GO! Daisy's iconic bike from MKWii, the Mach Bike, has the best stats for a medium weight character if paired with Daisy. Players have to press the b button rhythmically three times (left stick is not required throughout entire move) to accelerate forward. Faster rhythm = fast startup yet less speed overtime, failed rhythm = explosion which gives 3-5% damage to Daisy or nearby opponents, and a more patient rhythm will have a greater speed and acceleration overtime. This would work similarity to Wario's bike too, as Daisy could turn it, taunt, and do wheelies. It wouldn't stay once she jumps off though. Up Special: Had a hard time thinking of something, but I've got three ideas. 1. Bunny hood from SML2, 2. Airplane in SML which Mario pilots, 3. Standard Cart or Bike from MK8 with either the standard glider or Daisy's parasol used for gliding. They would all have a x-axis recovery, similar to Donkey Kong's, but could last about 4-6 seconds. Daisy would descend slowly once the recovery is over, the "whoaoa" audio clip is used while doing so. Other: 1. Grab - Toad is gone, works similarity to how Peach used to grab 2. Up smash - same as Peach's, but now has greater x-axis hurtbox 3. Down smash - a kick similar to a soccer/football player would kick a ball 4. Side smash - has directional inputs like Peach's but with different items. Up = Tennis racket serve, Side/Neutral = Baseball bat, Down = Hockey stick 5. Outfit - No dress! Daisy's biker or striker outfit(s) can work... oh fuck it, she'll have both! 6. Jumps - Daisy will have three jumps! This references Super Mario Run, as she had a second jump (when converted to Smash Bros. it will be a third). Daisy's third jump will replace her float; it will be much larger than her other two jumps, with some petals falling to the ground. This third jump is balanced with her horizontal recovery, as mentioned above. Finally, her final smash! I have two ideas. 1. Crystal/Flower Smash!: Yes, the move from MSC that most Daisy fans want to see return as her final smash. However, I think the crystals should be replaced by flowers. The thing is still the same, and the required hitbox is Daisy rushing forward with an aggressive kick, similar to King K. Rool's. (Can hit multiple opponents, is cinematic, 35-45% damage depending on # of players) 2. Garden/Flower Shot!: Seen in MH 3-on-3 and Mario Sports Mix, Daisy will summon a garden that covers a certain area. If an opponent is caught, Daisy flies in the air while the garden damages them. Daisy does a spunky dance with pompoms, which turns them into a singular glowing ball of light before Daisy spikes the ball into her opponent(s), all with a trail of daisy petals trailing not too far behind. If an opponent survives the final smash, they come back with a large flower from Lip's Stick. I prefer this idea because it is more creative and would be more fun to watch. (Can hit multiple opponents, is cinematic, 35% minimum damage)
