1:58 I would love to see factions “patches” more than anything. I feel like titans were a subpar (thought not terrible) way to do this and reprints would be much more effective. Give weed eater a new ability. Swap pirate king and first mates abilities and deal with the overlap with tornadoes when you patch them. Literally anything else for smoke bomb. Talent and 5 power for archmage. Vampires… and so on. Would be the best thing for the game imo. Would even be a good opportunity for simple wording clean up like on all the various disenchants.

I did this as a private project for myself, basically creating a 2nd edition of Smash Up. A project that cost me years of development and playtesting and it's still not fully completed, but very close, I would say. I think I might not include any of the new factions any time soon, though, as they are so broken on multiple levels (and also not fun to play for me, with the exception of Action Heroes, but they work too well on the other hand) that I think "fixing" them based on my design principles will be almost impossible or at least so much work that it wouldn't be worth it. I will probably never officially "release" them (as download content on TTS), as I'm afraid that AEG wouldn't appreciate this work. But I'll present the ideas on BGG and for private sessions on TTS.

They could redo Vampires without actually redoing them technically if they did a faction named Transylvania or something. If it's true that Grannies was the 50th faction it now makes more sense that Teens are the 100th as a theme flip.

Base Modifier has the Rainboroc loophole, where playing multiple minions for the first time on different bases triggers it multiple times per turn.

The 51st faction was the All Stars. You can look at it as "we have to hit the milestone first, then celebrate afterwards".

How are grannies the 50th faction? Factions 47-50 were in "What were We Thinking" and grannies are neither first nor last alphabetically in that set.

Question - is this custom faction called Centurions or Centennials? You said one on the video, but your card files say another.

The official name is Centurions. Please ignore the fact that the file is called Centennials and the fact that my windows explorer folder calls them "The Faction" and the fact that I almost called it Centinals of the Smash Up Verse
