HONESTLY. I picked up Bowser just a few days ago and he's already one of my highest GSP, almost at Elite - never really bothered to play him before. He's just such a no BS fighter. No fancy set-ups required with him. Just outsmart your opponent, switch up your strategies, and position yourself well - then just hit your opponent and they die lol.

That's why I play him. I'm trash at smash, but his simple kit is easy to pick up and the best part is you can win without fancy combos which I have no hope of pulling off. That and he's fast as fuck. Never thought I'd find myself maining a heavy in Smash when I usually drift towards mid rangers.

Bowser is perfect in this game. He's my favourite nintendo character and is perfect for me, because I never think to shield or dodge, so you can be really reckless with Bowser. He's so tough that he can take hit after hit while other characters can't.

As a lightweight, Bowser is the devil. He's faster than you (depending on your character), and he can kill you at 60%. Not to mention your attacks don't even phase him, while you rapid jab him for whole seconds, he's charging up that infamous side smash. Before you know it, you've been obliterated.

Yes, but there are two things you need to keep in mind: 1) if the opponent has more percentage than you, they have greater control of you directional input and will usually keep you from bowserciding. 2) the bowser will die before the opponent (hard coded into the game) and so it's not wise to do if you dont have a stock advantage.

I don’t know if it’s just me. all I see is side special kills because he can’t really kill with anything else aside from smashes. This is why I can’t play bowser, every kill is relying on side special to kill. bowser’s back air is too slow to land often and forward air isn’t a kill move. I wanted to play him because He got buffs to make him very strong but they need to nerf side special and buff other things. I also see zero combos for bowser it’s just any air you can land, neutral special if possible then side special. Make Bowser Strong not spammy.

Ecchi Bot I gottta disagree with you there. As a Bowser main: Bair is one of his quickest aerials and can even auto cancel if you buffer it when you short hop. Fair is a great kill move and is very good catching opponent a little above or a little below you due to its swinging hitbox that starts above and slightly behind him and ends below and slightly behind him. F-tilt is a pretty decent kill move as well that can 2-frame and opponent trying to grab ledge. And considering the small distance between ledge and the blast zone compared to onstage and the knockback the move does, you can net a nice kill off the side or a gimp. U-tilt isn’t the best kill move, but it’s a decent option considering its large hitbox and the fact it hits through and above platforms. D-tilt is a decent 2-frame option as well, but it lacks the kill power that f-tilt has. Jab can actually kill very well for a jab surprisingly, and both hits connect pretty consistently no matter the percent unlike Samus and D. Samus. Uair is a good albeit slightly slower aerial to challenge your opponent from below and catch their landing option to net a good kill, and it’s a good kill move as well. Nair is a pretty versatile tool. If you watch the video again, one of the Bowsers landed with Nair and followed up with a Bair to net a kill and win the game. That landing Nair to Bair is actually a true combo. And depending on which part of the hitbox the opponent gets hit off of and their percent, Nair can combo into other moves from low to mid percents. Down B and Dair are good tools to catch an opponent getting too aggressive with trying to chase you and kill you off the top. Down B is also great for if your opponent likes to sit in shield a lot. Break their shield and boom, free kill. I don’t really need to explain Bowser’s Smash attacks in terms of kill power. A thing to note though is Tough Guy giving each move a percent per hit (any move below 8% won’t break Bowser out of his attack animation for example). And his shell in invulnerable during Up Smash. And the fact it reach above platforms is nice too. Overall, Bowser has a lot of kill power in more than just his Side B and Smash attacks. If it was just those moves, he wouldn’t do as well as he does in this game. If you want to try playing Bowser again, look up some video guides of how to play him and see if he fits your playstyle. If he doesn’t, that’s okay. But there’s more to him then just Side B and yolo Smash attacks for kills.
