Smashed Potato-Pumpkin Latkes from the plancha BBQ

Yeah guys! What a Halloween evening!
Happy Halloween out there for all of you!
Here is the recipe for these great Potato-Pumpkin-Latkes (good for 6):
- 1 kg potatos
- 2 eggs
- 2 onions
- 300 g of pumpkin (or as much as you like)
- 2 pc of garlic
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 2 tsp of cream cheese
- 1 tsp of garlic powder
- 4 tsp of flour
- 20g sea salt
- some black pepper
- some Majoran
Peanut oil for the plancha (it has a high boil point so it is just best for cooking on the hot plancha)
Preparation:
Process uncooked potatoes, onions, garlic and pumpkin in the food processor, put into kitchen towel and squeeze the liquid out. put into bowl add the eggs, flour, herbs, cheese and spices and mix well together. let rest for 30 mins and drain some of the remaining liquid from the bowl bottom to get a somehow dry mixture.
Prepare the Plancha for 200-250°C or 400-500°F and the peanut oil.
Put one or two spoons of the mixture in a small glass and place right onto the blazing hot plancha. Give it a quick smash with the spatula. let cook for 5-7 minutes or until it is as you like it.
You can ad some garlic infused olive oil on top after the latkes are finished if you like!
