It's meant to be taken apart and serviced under warentt by trained Apple techs who know what their doing. Not "serviced" be Retards with a fresh $10 home Depot tool kit who slaps his hands all over everything whill it's hooked up to mains.

Its nice to see one of those old macs. My old college used to have them. We used to use garageband and make our own songs and burn the song to a cd when we had our music lesson. I miss that place. That was like 2006

I've gotta hand it to Apple for making such a durable product. That thing survived being covered in water, multiple hits, and had multiple components ripped out of it while it was still on, yet it still started up as if nothing happened. It required the motherboard to be physically broken for it to finally die. Very impressive.
@bradroesler7072 Жыл бұрын
6:42, Loved when he touched the power supply and got electrocuted. Then at 11:27, the CMOS battery must've got damaged as the computer then reset itself back to factory default as if it were brand new.🤣😝

This is also a common problem with Macbook Pros. My friend gave me his mid 2010 Macbook Pro. Although it powered up, the backlight failed. This is due to a part on the logic board itself which tends to short out. Since it's a Surface mount component, it's most times better to get a whole new one.

Most times better to not bother with apple at all!

Here is where Apple does the stuff right. I have a Sony AIO with the same specs and watching a video is horrible, starts skipping if the quality is higher than 360p, that mac had a more than decent speed

In 2008 I bought the black macbook that would be later used from 2008-2012 to do my videos... And I still have and use it as my main DJ machine, It has never failed me during a gig even though it was slammed around through my high school years and has always been getting toured around with DJ gear in the backs of trucks and such, plus dropped it countless times ... that thing has worked its ass off for me
@GarretClaridgeMeerkat6 жыл бұрын
Oh, and only issues in all the years: broke the cheap bezel plastic, I only last year replaced the original battery, and I did have a bigger hard drive put in at some point but none ever were damaged, still has the original 4 gig of ram
@kernel_data_inpage_error6 жыл бұрын
Garret That's the point, Mac OS is fantastic for DJing, audio keeps going even in high load. I honestly wondered myself, how do DJ's work with Windows 10? Everytime it wants to update,it will and the sound will start glitching

Looks like the backlight died. Also, I don't suggest putting your hands all over the PCBs since the power supply is exposed, and the capacitors can kill you. And I'll never understand why they call a Wi-Fi card an "Airport Card".

I work for a computer manufacturer called Stone Computers and we have a recycling centre where we take the older PCs, commonly when they replace they're old systems with our brand new builds. Shit like old Dells, Acers and the odd customer build. Anything that's no good to be refurbished and sold again, they get sorted and put on pallets and sold in bulk. Occasionally, we fuck the old ones up. Mostly macs because none of us like them lol.
