yep after Siamese Dream I had to get GISH and it totally blew my mind.(seriously some of the best percussion ever recorded).....along with Pisces and Mellon Collie, those 4 albums were a big chunk of what I was spinnin' in the 90's.......gotta admit SP spoke to me like no other band in that decade!!

@@jjflix79 Jimmy chamberlain was such a distinct and unique drummer that he was well known in Chicago before SP even got their first record deal with Caroline Records. People would come just to watch Jimmy drum.

I’m only 40 but I miss the 90s too. Those were my adolescent days. Grunge, then the JNCO era, Green Day, smashing pumpkins, tool, primus, Pearl Jam, sound garden, Alice In Chains, silverchair. I grew up early and had to learn to fend for myself in the 90s. By 13 I was playing in bars and having to sneak out when I got through with the shows.

I remember watching them perform this song the fall of '93 in Portland Oregon at a super small venue called the Laluna. It was a pre tour for Siamese Dream. Me and my crew were higher than kites at this show diggin the vibes. Such a killer show!

I bought mine at a record store in Napa. Amery worked there. I was stunned the first time I met her. Just stunned. She had a boyfriend. Many weeks later she showed up at my practice studio. Her boy friend was the new drummer in the band, Mitch. We all became great friends. I wish all those friends I had then well.

This is the first Smashing Pumpkins song I ever heard and blew me away. Immediately started looking for their music and found Gish. Stellar!🤩 The whole Singles album is really amazing, especially starting off with Would by Alice In Chains, but this song uniquely stood out, and later found out why. The Pumpkins were the only ones on the CD that wasn’t from Seattle. For those who don’t already know that.🤙🏻

remember this like yesterday....playing this Soundtrack and getting to THIS TUNE....I had never heard of Smashing Pumpkins but THIS TUNE spoke personally to me and I thought...."this is going to be my band!"........the next day I went to my record store to find Smashing Pumpkins and I saw this weird looking album cover with these Siamese Twins ....the rest is history!

Bought Gish and the 'Singles' Soundtrack at Tower Records on Guadalupe "The Drag" in Austin, TX in '91 & '92, respectively. Still love the music. The extended version of this song takes me further into the memories, it seems, than does the album version on Siamese Dream.

@@bibsma3401The 90s were great in Seattle. Started going downhill after 2000 tech crash. Picked up speed from 2005 onward. I left in 2003. When I returned in 2013 for a visit, could barely recognize the place for the homeless encampments, roving drug addicts crapping on the sidewalks, and endless sea of used drug needles covering the ground.

imagine the most picturesque moment during the 93 tour.. they play this.. You're crowd surfing during this song.. and that moment when you hear "I wish, I wish I Could fly!!!' everyone throws you at once and you land 12 feet ahead towards the stage, breaking your ribs and the dreams of those you befell upon... hmm.. had to double check which came first? - this or The Verve's A Northern Soul album. both are amazing. this song was first. not saying one was influenced by the other but Stormy Clouds sounds a lot like this. Billy Corgan is underappreciated, IMO.

Aside from the soundtrack or movie, the drug scenes of the 90s are quite possibly better than the 60s. An improvement, however they sadly became a psychological nightmare and revamping itself as the hashtag me movement later on so we could all flashback at all the chaotic drunken high nights and pay for our sins. Am I alone in that??!?😢
