The tightest cover I have ever seen of this song. Well done my man!
@Derekistan3 жыл бұрын
Wow, that's high praise, thank you. There are lots of really great covers of it. KZbin is full of so many amazing drummers. Delta Empire has a really good one that sticks out for me.
@lull133 жыл бұрын
I've seen a couple of people cover this song robotically on KZbin, and in addition to nailing fills, yours swings likes Jimmy's. Nice work.

Thank You.

This was Excellent!! Well done, your timing is spot on and you had all of the small nuances of Jimmy's playing down. Most people can not cover a Pumpkins song cause of how unique Jimmy plays but you nailed it! Bravo!
@Derekistan3 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Jimmy was one of my biggest influences growing up, I'm biased but he's pretty nasty! ;-). During that one snare part 1:55... I'm pretty sure he plays doubles ... that's some serious power on your double strokes, I 100% don't have that intensity with my double strokes... so singles it is.
@Derekistan2 жыл бұрын
@ODIN Force It's on my radar, you are not the first to ask. Now that gigs have started up again, I don't have as much free time but I do want to take a stab at it! Going to have to put in a bit of work me thinks to hit some of the speed elements with complete control. And thank you!

Killer performance. Honestly i have never seen a drummer before playing Pumpkins Songs with a very similar "groove" and" feeling" like Jimmy Chamerblin has. Imo all the drummers after him in the Band failed when it came to "groove" and "feeling" Especially how the Snaredrum should be hit! They played them all like robots in some way. Very good!
@Derekistan3 жыл бұрын
Thanks man. I'd agree, much like I feel about Dave Abbruzzese and Pearl Jam. Feel is such a big part of what makes a bands sound. Jimmy plays with huge intensity and clarity. I appreciate the kind words. Clearly, I'm no Jimmy but thank you for thinking I did him even a hint of justice.

@@Derekistan not a single snare hit by Jimmy happens by accident..every hit..how its been hitten..where its been hitten is by thought through intention etc and i love that! Im from germany i hope my words make sense 😄
