Jimmy is tough! Accents everywhere and a left leg that never stops. Great job! Not a lot of people try to cover Jimmy Chamberlin because once they get into it...ugh. This is my all time favourite drum piece, by anybody So many subtle licks, and creative fills. Subtle on the tempo, a dymanic mix between soft/loud. Tehnically brilliant, yet as only Jimmy can - he makes the dam thing look easy. I come back to this song often. It blows my mind. And I hear something new every time I listen

This is amazing. You hit all the notes exactly where they should be, which is way better than I can do. You are a sick rock drummer. Very heavy and consistent. Why Jimmy is my favourite, over a guy more universally celebrated like Neil Peart, is the nuance in each hit. You take a Peart track and analyze the hihat, each hit will have very similar velocity and sound as though it's quantized cause he's that solid. You are like that, and that's a huge compliment. Where Neil is like Glen Gould playing Bach, Jimmy is like Debussy. Tempo and intensity bend to his will to express emotion. Clair de Lune wouldn't work on a harpsicord with fixed velocity. You could play as you do and be amazingly great, maybe even one day more celebrated than Jimmy, like Bonham, Moon, Peart, Grohl, Barker(?), and Rich. But if you desire to be more musical (conveying a broader range of emotion with your playing) adopt some of Jimmy's freedom from a compressed, quanitzed style of drumming. Another great example of what I'm talking about is Buddy Rich versus Charly Antolini. Rich hits the hats with technical precision (and is the most famous jazz drummer in history). But Charly injects nuance, and his drumming has a greater emotional dynamic range (imho). I listen to Charly often. I'm kinda bored of Buddy, tbh. At the end of the day you are great and don't need my advice. But it's here if you want it.

Their first 3 albums were no joke, Jimmy's drumming on those albums are about as good as any other 90's rock band and Billy was on a golden streak of songwriting. Adore is an incredible album too, obviously much softer and minimalistic but offers a different sound.
