At their very best. Hummer has always been my fave. Underrated? Hells yes.

This performance is priceless. Not only does D'Arcy look, well....gorgeous, but she's *totally* feeling the groove of the music, much like she does on the 1993 performance at the Metro. I think this beats that performance, because the Billy and James' guitar sounds are spot on here.

Holy Gawd.....First time i ever saw this song live....as a bass player, i always asumed that D'Arcy was chording at the end of the song, but she is singularly hitting strings with her thumb.....I love her...Actually, this song made me (in conjunction with all of Cliff Burton's shit) want to play bass, and especially to learn to chord a bass. She is a master of her craft, and Siamese Dreams is THE best album of the 80's.

Adore was a good album, but it's biggest flaw is that it just reminds us Billy isn't a stoner/outsider in his twenty's anymore but a grown man facing the struggles of life. The electronic sound made the album sound cold & small, for something that was suppose to sound warm & comforting, Machina is just a big accessible hardrock album.

You can't say one bands better than the other, they make two completely stlyes of music so you can't compare, as I said in my first comment, But many can't touch Radiohead they made The Bends, OK Computer, & KId A, all 5 star albums in my book, as for SP Siamese Dreams is the only album that deserves 5 stars maybe Gish, maybe I'll seem them as equals if they called it quits after Siamese Dreams.

I guess that would be a bit correct but on MCIS you had hard rock sing alongs unlike Adore. I still think for something that suppose to sound intimate ends up sounding like a brick wall for at times..and lyrics hardly have to do with accessibility most of the time with alternative rock like this people hardly know what their even saying. I guess I can be idiot but who can't...I won't criticise an exchange of ideas.
@ImaFenderGuy16 жыл бұрын
bleach6bleach, i can't believe u said siamese dream was their only 5 star album!! obviously u've never listened to mellon collie. btw, mellon collie has enough amazing hit's to span 3 ablums!! and gish was a 5 star album. Also, i think every single album billy's put out has at least one 5 star song. From the adore album there was "perfect" and machina had a lot of great songs. Just because an album doesn't sell well due to "out of style music" doesn't mean it's not good music.
