How? Her timing is slightly off and she misses notes all the time. Sure, she never was a good bass player to begin with, but all the drugs made her playing even worse. Sad.

@@AndreasDivus1 All of them are, but on top of everything D'arcy is an extremely lousy musician and her boobs don't make up for it. I never understood the hype around her. She doesn't even played on the studio albums, since Corgan did most of the bass parts for her. A display dummy with a drug problem.

@@AndreasDivus1 Yeah, she really was pretty back in the day, probably the main reason she was in the band in the first place. I had a huge crush on her myself during the Gish/Siamese Dream era. But when she turned into an android during the second half of the 90s, I lost interest.

Remember watching this live on french tv, blessing that no longer existing ”Nulle Part Ailleurs” tv show , considered by many French as the best show in history, as it offered us exclusive stuff like what you are watching right now on this video : the amazing opportunity to see your favorite foreign bands playing songs that quite nobody heard before (and regarding the SP, in that period where the whole planet was impatient to heard what the band would do after the very, very big impact their previous album Mellon Collie and The Infinite Sadness did on the 90s alternative rock scene, i can tell you that it was quite a HUGE thing), at a time i was too young to go see them playing live and my parents didn't have internet at home yet... The quite frustrating thing was that the presenter told that the band played 2 songs broadcasted live for the TV viewers, and an exclusive 3rd one for the present on spot public... i still don't know what was that mysterious 3rd song.

Jimmi Simpson Guess what Jimmi... being hot is a talent. It's actually better than talent, because anyone can practice, but if you're born ugly there's no amount of practice that can help you. Bands are more than just sound... image is make or break. D'arcy's nipples and cool makeup sell tickets and albums. Girls know it takes work to look consistently hot and interesting. Pussy makes the world go round, Billy Corgan knew that perfectly well. He picked a girl that was up to the task. Also, with bass, complex doesn't equal good. She did what needed to be done, she played whatever Billy told her to play while looking hot. Give credit where credit is due.
@MetricMod5 жыл бұрын
She looks amazing, but at this time, Billy was already looking for a replacement. Her addiction had destroyed her voice. Plus Kenny (drummer) and Billy were realizing she was incapable of playing the songs on a nightly basis. She was a ghost at this point. Unfortunately, from this point she turned into just another unemployable drug addict. Luckily, she has her life back now

The three original members looked their best and finest here, but somehow there’s that subtle hint that they’re unhappy and miserable. I’m glad Billy finally mended fences and worked again with James and Jimmy. Still praying and hoping for a resolution with D’Arcy. She IS and she defined the Smashing Pumpkins vibe and look.
@dynjarren75234 жыл бұрын
It would have been cool if she showed up for one show maybe in Chicago to get some appreciation and love from the fans. But according to what I read, she was in rehab before and recovered from a drug addiction and her therapist told her to avoid triggers that set her backward into the drug lifestyle. So she had to pass on the Reunion Tour because it would have triggered her into bad and unhealthy behavior again. So for her continued health and recovery she passed on the tour. She probably would have made millions too. But a ton of money is bad if your tempted to spend it on drugs and possible self destruction. I personally think she probably made the right call even though I badly wanted to see her on stage with everyone at least once! But what can you do? Your health is number one. I wish her well! 👏🏻🎸😎
@Bulbagaba9924 жыл бұрын
Dyn Jarren yes. Right call for her. Hoping she recovers completely and get on her feet again. But I do hope that she finally overcomes her demons so she can reunite with Billy and the guys. It would be great to see them again. It’s the 90s all over again.
