One of my favorite Smashing Pumpkins songs. Like drifting away on a cloud until it drops you when the guitars come in heavy.

“Wrapped my hurt in you, and took my shelter in that pain...” This song was medicine for emotions and feelings I couldn’t understand or deal with when I was younger... thanks for uploading..

So haunting the melody, so haunting the lyrics…I can’t escape the way it made me feel 30 years ago, truly one of the greatest songs in my collection.

This is one of the Pumpkins' top five songs. If you haven't read the Guitar World article from 1994 about Siamese Dream, there were at least 70-odd tracks of guitar in this because of Billy's perfectionist nature and the whole recording process was a mess.

I believe the guitar here is very influenced by Prince’s Beautiful Ones. I think the comparison of Billy being like a version of Prince for his generation is becoming appropriate considering the size of both of their song catalogues

I think he's referring to the fact that Kurt and Billy were both seeing Courtney at the same time at one point and both of them were writing songs about her

I would {hypothetically} b forced 2 say that " SOMA " would b it, {NoW DONT FREAK OUT, MY ZEPPELIN, FLOYD, LIL' WAYNE, MUDDY WATERS, Billie Eilish, ETC.ETC.ETC. FANS; REMEMBER~ "HYPOTHETICALLY"is the key word here!!!} A TRUE music lover could NEVER even BEGIN 2 narrow 1,000's of fav's, bcuz {non~hypothetucally} I could NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER JUST PICK 1 SONG ANOVE ANY OTHER FAV, BUY HYPOTHETICALLY, THIS ONE DOES SOMETHING FOR ME THAT I CANT EVEN ATTEMPT 2 PUT INTO WORDZ HYPOTHETICALLY, THAT IS .. 🎉🎉😂

I've come to appreciate the jarring shift at 3:30. But I still kind of hate it. Wish there was a version that was just the nice dreamy parts
