Honestly this video helps just as much if you are the bad player, cause you can see what are the things you need to correct, and how people might go about punishing them.

If you believe you shouldn't be losing to somebody, study your games! Whether vods or replays, studying your games and figuring out why you get hit is probably one of the best ways to not only figure out counterplay to your opponent, but also spot your own habits and filtering them out

One reason is that I don't expect people to do stupid and repetitive and easy to read moves.

Commenting for the algorithm. In an time where analytical content is getting shafted by some community members, I'm glad a channel like this exists. Also we need more content with Bam.

I started beating bad players consistently by pressuring them with movement and constantly punishing with good oos options. Bad players that rely on cheesing don’t know how to deal with ambiguity and good counter play.

Why I lose to bad players - because I’m a casual and they only gave me a bo1. I need a couple games to solve bs or playing off strats sometimes 😅 Solid video though. Important things to understand if you want to improve

Im good with the download part, but horrible with the disrupt/execute part.... its impressive/depressing for me that I saw the exact same spargo AD habit when it happened, but I can't win my locals... lol. And this happens to me everytime, anyone has advice to improve the execute part even tho im reading/detecting my enemy habits. (it also makes the loses a lot harder to take)

Not everyone will find this useful but personally shadow boxing helps me out a lot when it comes to execution, find a specific situation/space you know you struggle in, and figure out your options, then apply them on a bot or a friend. If you’re struggling to punish a young link that dashes back, and b reverse boomerangs, figure out the variety of punishes from efficient to over the top and stylish. Figure out young link’s potential mixups if he were to dash back short hop nair to stuff your overextension, and then from there figure out your option to cover that, etc etc. There so many interactions in smash that it’s never gonna hurt to grind out fundamental stuff like that.

One thing I’ve noticed is that being good at this game doesn’t really feel like a master plan with huge thinking strategies. I’ve played a lot of top players and they generally seem to just have a feel for things. A lot of subconscious decision making is built up by playing frequently against more challenging opponents. I feel This roster is way to massive to drastically change game plans for each and every character. One thing I’ve seen and done is strategize against specific weights/heights as it’s much simpler than playing against a dsamus and samus differently based on a roll animation and what not. Just as an example, watch some top player streams or friendly matches, they have insane game sense sometimes while they autopilot. They don’t even need to think sometimes in regards to picking up habits, they just know what works and what doesn’t.

Lots of uncalled-for comments here.. this video simply elaborates on the subject of conditioning options from your opponents and how to react to them. Clearly most of the negative comments here didn’t watch/pay attention to the video.

I quit smash and it has been the best thing I have ever done tbh. I don't have time in my life to grind 4 hours a day just to get get into matches where they just spam and camp/ camp out timer. Smahs ult is 90% spam and lag. People who lose to "bad" players typically isn't actually your fault at times. If the other person has shit connection and is used to it they have a HUGE advantage againts you. And if they just spam projectiles with lag it's almost gg on your end.

@CloudoCR people spam offline as well 😂. I dropped the game and haven't played it competitive wise since this comment but I've been to tournaments because my friend still play but my God how toxic and pathetic this community has gotten is just sad. Plus the smell and its not just 1 event, it's all the events 😂

most ppl make no money. Top players make money not just from content but salaries due to their skill. Also the content isn't dying at all, it's grown exponentially in terms of competitive content creation. Lastly there's nothing wrong with pursuing to be the best at something you love

@@bam762 in some fighting games yes. If you constantly win events for smash sure but that's not the reality. It's a time sync and you will wake up in 10 years with nothing to show if you invest too much time in is all. It's like being a pro athlete. You might get there but half a plan B..... @@Lancer1369 that's literally wrong LOL. We are talking top players here, as in sponsored players, who literally get paid to play, and it makes it far easier to do content if they want. top casters and players have used smash directly and indirectly for a living. I currently typing this in a house filled with ppl who make close to or well beyond 6 figures because of smash. Smash is also a great esports stepping stone if u don't wanna do just smash as well. Lastly it's about application and what you are investing in. You can have it as a hobby and allow it to be a place of personal growth much like weekend warriors in sports like basketball/soccer/etc. or it can be where u can build a life with it but u gotta be practical cuz if you aren't at the top then it'll be hard. But yeah this idea of throwing your life away because u are investing time to get good at something is ridiculous. is working on your shot in basketball if u aren't an NBA player a waste of time?
