Ali Akbar Hussain Shah There is no tutorial to make this exact kind of voice. If you naturally have a high voice and you try to deepen it, it will sound horrendous and obviously pitched down/fake. Where as if you take a voice like Benedict's, that's naturally deep and gravelly, slightly pitching it down and adding minor effects can make it sound badass. In short, having a deep voice in real life helps if you want to sound like a dragon in movies and games lol

Ali Akbar Hussain Shah They've got distortion on there as well as pitch enhancement. There is also lots going on with EQing here, possibly even separate plug-ins entirely for the lows and the highs. Frequency specific compression is also likely. The bass seems to glow a little, which could be a second, lows-only layer of voice thats gated to open at high volume points. There's a less intense verb on the low and mid frequencies, and super-long verb on the high frequencies, the length of the latter of which is being increased in the mix stage at chosen moments. Also a hint of delay (you can hear it at the 5 second mark on "are" and the 2 second mark on "thief".

If you're interested on how to get this voice it's quite simple. You need to record close to the mic to get that bass heavy tone. Then you need to use a pitch shifter and down tune the voice. Most low quality pitch shifters make the sound duller and heavier in bass and that helps big creatures like this. They may have some saturation/distortion on his voice too bit listenong to the behind the scenes footage he makes his voice with a slight and breathy growl that helps this voice when pitch shifted. The echo that you hear is probably an artificial cave reverb. They probably made impulse responses of caves and used them in post to get the spacious cave aound required in a plalce like that.
