The Booster Course Pass for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe was quite the success, and once again, we’re looking at All Changes and differences made for the returning courses in Wave 1 of the DLC. The second race of the Lucky Cat Cup is DS Shroom Ridge. It’s a winding path through a mountainous plateau with moving traffic, a shortcut through a meadow of wildflowers, a curved tunnel, and many twisty turns along the edge. So how does the most recent update differ from past instalments? Let’s find out!

Apparently, the sign was mistranslated because in Japanese, "R" and "L" sound very similar. Thankfully, this error was only in early demo versions of Mario Kart DS.

Funny thing about the traffic in the Nintendo Switch version of this course: when this was shown in the announcement trailer for the Booster Course Pass, the traffic pattern was much more plentiful than the final version. It was different in that there were a lot of buses and trucks, suggesting that during development, the traffic pattern was changed before the release of Wave 1.
