SMBSync2 install as APK package on Android 13 and higher

Install SMBSync2 without the Play Store on Android 13 or higher. SMBSync2 is a nice software to synchronize photos, videos and other files from Android to your local NAS SMB share. However it currently cannot be installed via the Play Store on newer phones, it will just tell you, that the app is not available for your Android version. However manually installing the application from Github solves the problem.

hey, I have a Google pixel 7 and have downloaded the APK, but every time I press install nothing happens. really nothing. I have allowed unknown apps to be installed. What could that be? greetings
