Give it a go, I found it was fun to do, except perhaps for those 0402's initially!! Mind you, once I started using the tweezers, even those weren't that bad.

Where can I get that test kit? And what soldering iron do you use?

Hi, I got mine from Amazon, although you can probably find it at other retailers as well. It should appear using a search for SMD Practice Kit. There does seem to be a few different ones now. I use a really old (20+ years) Weller iron and in this video used a PT Long Conical 0.8mm tip. At some point in the future, I'll probably replace it as this one isn't temperature controlled unfortunately. Hope that helps!
