I went to college with Nancy Lieberman. From the time we were freshmen until we graduated. She was nice. She was gracious, she was fierce on the court and was a PRO handling all the attention at such a young age. She was already an Olympian when she came to ODU. She was not a racist, she was not homophobic. I think like most people of my generation, we took people at face value. ANYONE that wants to get in a character debate with Nancy had better come with more than false accusations and made up stories.

As a black woman I have been so embarrassed by this. This is what jealousy looks like. When you’re jealous of someone like Clark who is a genuinely good person, you have to find a way to make them a villain so you can justify your hatred. This is why they attack her fans and demand that she speaks up, this is why they keep hitting her because they want her to react violently so they can play victim. They are trying to provoke her so they can paint her as the villain and damage her reputation. It is genuinely scary how dangerous jealousy is. This behavior is pure evil.

Well...we're all a little racist, but look at all the WNBA Players that are celebrated... Taurasi, Plum, Steward, Bird and Aja Wilson. So it's not racism...half their players are white and the other half are black, but they have all come together to defeat one player and that's CC. The reason is, Caitlin is braking all of their records as a rookie! So the truth is, they are not "great" at all. Caitlin broke Swoopes NCAA record that she had held for over 31 yrs. That has to sting!!! 😂 OUCH!!! "Sheryl has to delegitimize us and Caitlin."

The WNBA product sucked for years. I watched a WNBA game 20 years ago, and it was so bad, I didn't watch again, until Caitlin entered the WNBA. I followed Caitlin in college for three seasons because she was charismatic, dynamic, and relatable. Like me, many other fans of women's college basketball, followed her to the WNBA. If she would have decided not to pursue he passion and chose another vocation, I and hundreds of thousands of fans would have never tuned into the WNBA. Her arrival to the WNBA is the marketing tool of the WNBA that was missing for the last 20 years. What controversy? Catlin Clark is being paid to play basketball and not to champion the WNBA agenda. She is a great ambassador for the game. She is articulate during interviews, give thoughtful answers, never has a bad thing to say, praises her teammates and opponents alike. She has taken the high road with all her critics and haters and has shown nothing but class. She is 22, but she has shown more maturity than Cheryl Swoops, Cindy Bronson, Geno Auriemma, Cheryl Reese and Becky Hammon. One last thing, I only watch the Indiana Fever games.

They have a very similar version in Grace Berger. Lit it up at IU and was also a tough defender. She's almost the same size as Caitlin and has great handles as well. Why she gets no minutes over Erica Wheeler is beyond me. 1st round draft pick at #7 last year. Rookie contract and Wheeler is maxed out. These are the types of business and talent evaluation decisions that will bite you in the buns. This is where Christie Sides lack of experience really shows up and Dunn should have overridden that move. Why even draft another point guard in Grace Berger last year if you're just gonna bring a maxed out vet along with you because why....they bonded well in ATL? If Sides would have given Berger minutes this season she would have gotten valuable experience and been a good viable backup to Caitlin and Kelsey come playoffs time. Berger is basically last years version of this year's Taylor.

So, to avoid (so I thought) a similar reaction I prefaced my sarcastic comment with a disclaimer in caps declaring it to be meant as humor, and not to be taken seriously, and once again I received replies criticizing my comment because it was taken seriously (again) rather than a feeble attempt as humor. It was as if the disclaimer hadn't been read, or understood at all. I wrote it in English and it was read as Swahili. So there is a segment of people that totally use and abuse social media purposely or in ignorance, and, to a certain extent, ruin it for the rest of us. My offensive, misunderstood comment was this: There should be no co-roty, BOTH should be awarded roty Caitlin ROOKIE OF THE YEAR Angel REBOUNDER OF THE YEAR Problem solved Seven different people responded in outrage that something like that should even be considered, and what the hell was wrong with me! So I gave up.

I think "race" has about 7% involvement in all of this folks......its over 90% jealousy from all the hype....i mean Namath and Bird spoke of this when they came into camp as rookies. The older players went out of their way to rough them up and show them who's boss. But lie them CC is backing it all up and that makes it all even worse for them. I hope she just sticks to playing at the high level she already does and.....shes going to get even better folks!!! and the whole WNBA will benefit $$$$$

How does anyone know if it was really People from Indiana and Iowa? Are we to take the word of a proven liar? The word of a perpetual victim that seems to be obsessed with Caitlin Clark? Or the word of an obvious Clark hater? Not a credible source among these 3 possibly racist, very bitter and jealous women that are intent on smearing Caitlin Clark’s name however they can! Ms. Clark has shown a level of maturity and grace that is rarely seen in someone so young. Caitlin Clark has shown nothing but class and again, a gracious attitude towards all these women that have chosen to hate her, bully her on the court, trying to cause her physical harm, lie about her age, years of college basketball she played. Her age, saying she’s 25 years old when she is 22 years old, supposedly taking 40 shots a game when it’s only 22 shots per game saying she played 5 years in the NCAA when it’s 4. A perpetual victim that has said she has been sexualized more than once and by different groups of people when she does more to sexualize herself than any group could have even if they cared enough to find out or actually knew who her uncle is. Then you have a hater that announces for a rival team insisting that Caitlin and/or the Fever speak out against these people that they have accused of being Caitlin’s fans from Indiana or Iowa without being able to prove that they are her fans or that they’re from Indiana or Iowa. No, Caitlin doesn’t have to do anything but concentrate on playing basketball. Concentrate on her career. They’re trying anything to get her off her game because she’s too good at such a young age and they cannot see past their hate to admit the good that this young lady has done and brought to the WNBA and everyone else involved in the WNBA. Because of her, the Association has enjoyed a higher level of recognition which will inevitably lead to higher pay, not having to fly commercial flights and higher sales of WNBA merchandise. Little girls now that are WNBA stars of the future because of the recognition brought about by the Caitlin Clark phenomenon.

I will say this in Angel’s defense. When that cruel Alyssa Thomas grabbed Angel by the throat and threw her to the floor, it was Angel’s ponytail that saved her from a concussion, imo. It cushioned the impact because those gym floors are no joke. The last time the Fever played the Suns, Thomas put her shoulder into Caitlin’s jaw and came within a millimeter of knocking her out. When Caitlin was pulled up by her teammates, she couldn’t stand on her own, Aliyah Boston had to hold her up. For about 30 seconds, Caitlin didn’t have a clue where she was. Thomas will hurt someone badly before she’s through and it’ll be the WNBA’s fault for allowing this type of behavior to continue.

These tolerant people talking about hating a group of people like it is some kind of flex. I don’t hate anyone. It is literally the same as poisoning yourself. I cheer for all people to become their best version and I support all people even when they are acting silly. That is when they need the most love. That doesn’t mean you don’t call them out. The antidote to just about every thing that troubles humanity is a commitment to truth.

Have you connected the following dots? 1. The young woman in Sydney Colson's tweet is Monica Czinano. 2. Monica was a close friend and teammate of Caitlin Clark and Kate Martin in college. 3. Both Sydney Colson and Kate Martin are now both on the Aces roster. Poor Kate must be in hell having to be a teammate to this filth that mocks her friend.

Ohhhh, so now THEY are the victims, and the Clark fans are the bad guys? That's where we are moving the goal posts to now? That's fine, whatever. They can keep making themselves look like clowns. But they need to keep our girl Monika Czinano's name out their mouths. Fever should sign Monika, and let her start slaying the league with Caitlin.

As the Haters try to justify their loathing towards CC through scapegoating the fans. the WNBA needs to have the Haters understand that fans are the essential revenue stream for the Company’s profitability and spewing disparaging comments towards any WNBA personnel on social media needs to be publicly excommunicated from any association with the WNBA. As the Haters continue their campaign on rationalizing their depreciation of CC’s generational feats, they’ll be stigmatized in history as accomplished players of poor character qualities.

It seems strange that some people feel they have the right to lie about, and attack other people, and feel they are on the high ground. To say a fan base is racist without knowing who they are actually talking about is so stupid. But then the fact that these same people made false accusations against Clark, and have had these accusations disproven, and still double down on things shows a huge level of stupidity. To be honest the best thing Caitlin could do is play overseas, and then see where the WNBA would be when the new fanbase disappears. Things have gone ahead in leaps and bounds, and when you look at the biggest crowds and viewership figures that all related to the Fever, to continually thrash the fans and CC could have a huge negative effect if she did leave
