I'm not a gen xer. I am 18 and I don't listen to Nirvana. Your right actually, I was mistaken because I thought Nirvana was a gen x thing, sorry. To be fair though I just read through the lyrics of "Smells Like Teen Spirit" and I didn't really find anything super political about it. In the first verse Cobain talks about how a girl is over bored and self assured and how that's something we as a culture don't accept. Then there is also something about being both biracial as well as an albino but other than that I couldn't find much more. If you can point me to anything in the song that's making fun of people like me then I'm open to hearing it.

But Kurt Cobain was also miserable with his life and ended it. There’s a reason why people who tend to lean right are far happier and enjoy life more on average. The average lefty seems to be controlled by their emotions to the point that they are irrational over just general topics. So many who lean left appear miserable and seem to be just angry people. There’s a reason why people who lean right are on average are happier and enjoy their life. They literally had a federal grant study a few years back (because they give out money for any study these days) with findings showing that people who identified as Republican were average more than twice as likely to feel happy in their day to day lives. I seriously have not met anyone who identifies as a democrat in the past two years that seems like a happy and enjoyable person to be around. I don't know, I think it's heads or tails on whether or not Kurt would hate this. Yeah, he was mildly SJW'ey, but nowhere near as bad as people are today.
