Smelt SLAM on Lake Superior!

This week we head out on Lake Superior with Tommy Hicks for some trout action and then go fill some coolers with smelt! What a fun time!

I remember as a kid smelt fishing in Lake Ontario filling Bussel baskets full then spending hours with my dad cleaning them for hours with scissors.

My grandparents took us to Lake eire to net smelts. Always had a big fire on the beach. Lots of fun for kids

Remember back in the 70's when most everyone would haul smelt home like this? People back then thought they were unlimited, and so many went to waste. Smelt populations were decimated. Looks like some guys just don't learn from past mistakes, No one needs that many smelt.. pretty disappointing Larry. Would expect a better example from you.
