@SmertimbaGraphics thanks for the quick reply. I can't really say. When I click on preview or the space key, it remains static like that. I just have to use the mouse to move the curssle on the timeline for me to see what I'm doing. I'm using a 3rd gen laptop with 2gb dedicated graphics. Does it have anything to do with the laptop I'm using

Maybe it's the laptop or a shortcut is not working, try Num 0 instead if it's available

Brilliant tutorial. Took me 10 minutes. Do you know how I could scale it down? Make it smaller. When I do it goes all wavey and distorted. Which settings would I need to amend?

You can precompose everything and the scale it down, should work

If you select all layers then right click any of them, find pre compose, that puts everything into one layer kinda thing

There are many ways to do that, the simplest one would be to keyframe solid layers opacity from 100 to 0 at the end to fade the fire out

It should be quite easy to create, animate the text in add directional blur for the duration, then there's cc radial fast blur with white glow for a few frames and overall alpha glow behind the text
