SMES Volleyball 4-2 Rotation 1

Is this the same as a 5-2 rotation. I’m confused on the rotations and I’m in middle school. We have two setters

This is not. The setter is always in the front row with this rotation system. With a 6-2 (which is what I think you are actually talking about), the setter always is in the back row and you have 3 hitters in the front.

Excellent video. Quick question. Why not have the front setter stay in the middle so that she can either back set or forward set? Wouldn't that keep the other team guessing on what extreme side of the court it will be spiked from? thanks in advance

Our team is a middle school level and for the most part having the setter work to set the ball in front of them works the best. Although even moving in to high school, this is the basic position for most setters but they are actually "back row" players with 3 hitters to set, including the one behind them for the back sets. being a setter is tolling enough, I dont want to be a setter and a middle blocker
