I have been tying flies for over 54 years but have never attempted this until yesterday. Tied a size 16 Adams with the Wally Wing and it turned out beautiful. Shadow Box quality. Now I'm hooked and will offer this style of fly to my customers in our fly shop here in Hollidaysburg, PA. - Aquatic Imitations Thank you for the newly gained knowledge.

Nice fly! Trevor Jones showed me how to make those wings a few years ago on a mayfly, he used a partridge feather, but i use grey drake, its much more durable and get three flies from one feather sizes #20-14. Trout and grayling love em. They still catch fish when the wings are chewed up! Thank you for the video!

Beautifully tied and a real gem for anyone's fly box, but I doubt if I would ever tie a tippet to it. The same fly but without the intricately constructed wing would probably fish just as well, if not better.

what specific brand of CDC are you using????....it has to be longer stemmed stuff in order to use it like you did for the wing case and also be able to prep for a dubbing loop.

it is the blue one. the tungsten i will not recoment. one drop on the floor and the tip is gone for ever ;-)
