I sincerely want to thank you for arranging that 32 measure a song very neatly on the sheet music page. For somebody who struggled his entire life with sight-reading (35+ yrs.of struggle barely able to read Mary Had a Little Lamb yet I have been able to play music professionally on and off for 30 of those years as a bassist and some accompanying keyboards & piano) but is now making considerable progress I just wanted to give you my sincere gratitude. FINALLY breaking the ice!

Very nice playing. Relaxed and comfortable. Nothing too radical. Very enjoyable.

Tony, this is Christine Daae (LOL) and Dylan James. Your beauty came at a perfect time to start delving into jazz. THANK YOU!! He is now accepted into the Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra jazz ensemble for next school year. So, we will be watching more of your magic for inspiration and education.

Thanks, Tony! Funny thing is, our band wants to do this song for a concert this coming weekend. And wouldn't ya know it, the lead singer wants to do it in B. So... I guess I'm gonna try. Probably a good thing to stretch my out my comfort zone a little further. It's a very pretty song, and B is a pretty key when mastered.

When transposing through keys, always start on Eb and go down in fifths. Haters gonna hate. I also believe Mr. Winston is a very nice teacher who keeps it real and I always appreciate new uploads from you.

Thanks. Why start on Eb? Inquiring minds want to know..

@@TonyWinston Basically tricks you to directly go to the more uncommon keys. Skips over the common keys C, F and Bb and brings you to the Db, B, F# weight-lifting part faster. Some wisdom I picked up from Peter Martin in the podcast. Doesn't have to be Eb if you're already confident in Eb and Ab, then just enter with Db or whatever makes you most uncomfortable :)

Dear Tony, I've been watching many of your videos lastly and I really wanted to say thank you for all the expertise and inspiration. Please keep up your excellent work! If you allow me to leave a request, I would love to learn more on how to manage melody, bass line and harmony at the same time, as a general approach (if that makes sense). I've been classically trained, so what I often struggle with is making them all work together with a jazz feel, even if I'm able to guess the harmonies by ear most of the times. So focusing on rhythm and role distribution between hands, maybe... I'm sure you'll know better. Once again thank you very much! Best wishes from Portugal

Absolutely terrific! Lovely work as always, Tony. I have a request for a future video sir! I’d love to see your interpretation of Dave Brubeck’s recording of “Maria” (from West Side Story). Thanks!

Tony, do you sell your finished arrangement of this? I did print off your free Lead sheet with reharm, but interested in the finished product if you sell it.

I was just improvising, on the chords. I'll sketch out a bit of it for you.

Thank you. I liked how you put arpeggios combined with chords and drop two's...a mixture of things.

I'm almost finished writing it. It will be a hand written chart , hopefully not too hard to read. I'll probly post it in a new video.
